‘On my return, which was scheduled for 9pm, we were told it would be late, suppose I arrived at Gatwick at 11pm. We were then told that a crew member was not doing well and that twenty passengers had to be left behind. After an hour of people getting frustrated, I stepped in.
‘easyJet offered 400 euros as compensation, taking into account that the next flight was in 4 days, I went to the eastJet employee, he looked very official, and I said that 400 euros was not enough people to support and perhaps he should increase the offer to 1000 euros if passengers were willing to accept it.
“I said if you don’t have authority you should call London, which he did and the compensation was increased to 500 euros, families had been on their feet for almost two hours now, and I demanded that all families with children get on board , people who had done that. special difficulties and more.
‘easyJet finally let them on board. Unfortunately, easyJet informed passengers that unless people voluntarily stayed behind, they would be required to choose 20 passengers and receive €250.
Touker continued, “Easy Jet is not trained or equipped to deal with these things, and certainly not compassionately!
‘I did my best to stand up for the passengers. The flight finally arrived around 3am. easyJet Board should contact every passenger on the flight from Izmir to London and do the right thing and compensate each passenger 1000 euros for this story. #toukertime
He ended his tirade by saying: ‘Any easyJet officials have the audacity to contact me, I am welcome to engage with them. Maybe the CEO?’
