Dr. Ranj Singh reveals he was rushed to hospital before berating ‘plonkers’ and anti-vaxxers on social media for ‘judging hasty conclusions’

Former This Morning expert Dr. Ranj Singh has revealed he was rushed to hospital on Wednesday, before condemning social media followers for ‘judging hasty conclusions’ about the nature of his illness.

The 44-year-old clinician required medical attention after being stricken with severe food poisoning, but the incident sparked fierce debate among COVID conspiracy theorists and staunch anti-vaxxers.

He wrote on Twitter: “Unfortunately I was dehydrated after a bout of food poisoning. Fortunately I received good care from our NHS and was discharged home after some fluids to recover!’

He added: “Unfortunately, there are some absolute plonkers on social media (Twitter) who think my recent hospital stay had something to do with vaccines.

‘It wasn’t. Really, get a grip!’

Concern: Former This Morning expert Dr. Ranj Singh has revealed he was rushed to hospital on Wednesday, before condemning social media followers for ‘jumping to conclusions’ about the nature of his illness

Singh recently discouraged people from commenting on the Phillip Schofield scandal, encouraging them to be “mindful” because he’s not in an “easy place.”

Just weeks ago, the TV doctor criticized ITV’s ‘toxic culture’ in an online outburst claiming the ‘problems with This Morning go way beyond Phillip.’

Singh said that while he disagrees with how Phillip, 61, acted after it was revealed he was having an affair with a younger member of the team, he suggested that the former This Morning presenter should be treated kindly.

He urged everyone to be “careful when we respond to people like that, that we don’t go too far,” as he weighed in on the controversy that has surrounded the TV star in recent months.

Speaking to MailOnline at the British LGBT Awards in London, Dr Ranj was asked if people should ‘step back’ to comment on the scandal.
