Dramatic images have emerged of a couple being arrested for the murder of a respected pediatric surgeon.
Kerem Aydin, 22, and his partner Jacinta Davila, 27, left the Torrensville Plaza in Adelaide's inner west about 7.30pm on Tuesday.
Security footage showed a plainclothes police officer quickly approaching Aydin before knocking him to the ground.
Aydin, who was carrying a plastic shopping bag and had a bandage around his head, was filmed being thrown to the ground as the officer restrained him.
Davila, who was pushing their eight-month-old daughter in a stroller, then tried to flee the square and began running away before she too was arrested by heavily armed officers from the Special Tasks and Rescue team.
The couple have each been charged with murder following the death of top doctor Michael Yung, 61.

He was seriously injured in an alleged home invasion at his $2 million home in the affluent Adelaide suburb of Gilberton in the early hours of Monday morning.
Dr. Yung was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital and died on Tuesday evening.
Aydin and Davila have also been charged with serious criminal trespass and robbery with violence. The pair has yet to enter a plea.
It has since been revealed that Dr. Yung was randomly selected during the alleged home invasion.
It is understood prosecutors will argue that Aydin and Davila had no connection or knowledge of Mr Yung before Monday's incident. The advertiser reported.
Court documents also reveal that the couple planned to steal $30,000 worth of items from the home, and that the ladder they allegedly used to enter the surgeon's home was already in place.
Dr. Yung had suffered injuries to his chest, intestines and head, causing brain hemorrhages.
Shortly before their arrest, police allege that Aydin and Davila allegedly stole a first aid kit from a Drake's convenience store on the Square to treat Aydin's head injuries.

Magistrate Michael Jandy heard the couple were linked to the crime scene by DNA evidence on a headlamp and bloodstains found at Dr Yung's home.
Davila, who cried during her performance, will return to court next Wednesday, where Mr Jandy will consider releasing her on bail for house arrest.
Aydin has been remanded in custody and will appear again in March.
An employee who works at a newsstand next to Drake's Supermarket said police have spoken to businesses in the area since the arrest.
Most businesses were already closed when police entered the shopping area and handcuffed the couple.
“I was told they (allegedly) stole something from Chemist Warehouse and then went to Drake's Supermarket, stole something there (allegedly) and then went to the toilets to treat their wounds,” she told Ny Breaking Australia .
Workers at the nail salon, directly outside where the couple was arrested, said they too had left work that day.
However, the salon's manager was still there and closed the business with her sister and young niece.
CCTV footage shows her niece running from the salon just as the alleged killers were taken down by officers outside the shop's front doors.
Workers said the little girl was traumatized by what she saw.

Aydin, who has a Turkish background and calls himself 'The Turk', is currently studying at TAFE SA and has worked in various jobs.
His LinkedIn claims he has been a “self-employed CEO” for the past five years, but he does not name his company.
