Dr. Drew blames Jennifer Lopez’s ‘love ADDICTION’ for the rift in her marriage to Ben Affleck – as experts weigh in on the biggest ‘warning signs’ in the couple’s relationship amid rumors they are set to DIVORCE

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s relationship may have crumbled because of the pop star’s “love addiction,” according to popular TV host and addiction specialist Dr. Drew.

Rumors have been swirling for weeks that the singer, 54, and the actor, 51, were heading for a divorce, and now a series of experts have weighed in on what may have gone wrong in the latest episode of TMZ investigatescalled JLo and Ben: Missed Warning Signs.

During the show, which aired Sunday night, TV star, podcast host and doctor Drew Pinsky, better known as Dr. Drew, 65, shared his thoughts on Jen and Ben’s failed marriage, saying her obsession with love may have something to do with guilt.

Film producer Jon Peters, 79, started the conversation by saying: ‘She’s a love addict, look at the men she’s been with. She can’t be alone.

“She needs a man in her life, she’s never really spent time developing herself.”

Dr. Drew then delved deeper into the topic, explaining that love addiction is very real and can be extremely damaging to a relationship.

“There are actually thousands of people involved in 12-step programs who identify as love addicts,” he said.

‘The characteristics of this include not having great boundaries, they tend to get sucked into relationships easily and easily, they are difficult for people, and once they are in they can’t get out come.’

Jennifer has been linked to many men over the years and has walked down the aisle four times.

In 1997, she tied the knot with producer Ojani Noa, but they split after less than a year of marriage.

Months later, she started dating Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, but they went their separate ways in 2001 after two years of dating.

She then quickly married dancer Cris Judd, but they divorced in 2002.

She then started dating Ben, and they quickly got engaged, but they called it quits in 2004, just before they were about to become husband and wife.

JLo exchanged vows with Mac Anthony in 2004 and they were married for more than six years before announcing their split in 2011.

And just four months later, it was revealed that she was dating dancer Beau ‘Casper’ Smart.

They broke up in 2016, and that same year rumors broke out that she was dating rapper Drake.

However, that must have gone away because in 2017 she was dating Alex Rodriguez, and in 2019 they were getting ready to get married.

But in 2021, they called off the wedding and announced their split. She reconciled with Ben soon after, and the two stars married in Las Vegas in July 2022.

Now it is believed that they too are on the verge of divorce as it is reported that they are living in separate homes and are trying to sell their $60 million Beverly Hills home.

They remained tight-lipped about the speculation, but put on a united front when they were spotted holding hands at Ben’s daughter Violet’s graduation ceremony on May 30.

Photographers also caught them sharing an awkward kiss days later during his son Samuel’s basketball game.

They came to the sporting event separately and greeted each other outside; they opted not to hug on the lips, instead proceeding to an air kiss, with Ben seemingly patting his wife on the back, before heading to the event together.

Additionally, they both visited their Beverly Hills office on June 14, but they took different cars and arrived just minutes apart.

A source told DailyMail.com that Jennifer is ‘over’ her attempts to make her marriage to Ben work.

“Jenny has had enough and she really tried but she can’t do anymore, it’s not getting better, it’s worse,” they said.

The insider added that Jennifer feels like Ben is always “grumpy and negative,” which is putting a strain on their romance.

“Ben is a great guy, but he can be grumpy and a downer,” they continued. “I think the world saw that in photos like when they were at the Grammys last year; he wouldn’t smile.

‘He smokes and swears and often seems irritated. Great director and actor, but he doesn’t get much laughs, you know? Still, he’s a great dad.

‘He’s filming Accounting 2 now and the hours are very long, he’s working hard on it and it’s a lot to juggle getting married and kids. So sometimes he’s not in the best mood.

“Of course Jenny is sad, she loves Ben, but they’re just too different, there’s no give and take, there was no mixing, they’re just on separate tracks.

“She really tried her best to make it work, but it just didn’t work. She put a lot of time and energy into it, and I think he did the same.

‘There is no one to blame here. It just wasn’t in the cards. It’s very difficult for two big stars to keep a marriage going; you have to give in, and in this case neither of us gave in.”

Despite the rumors, Jennifer posted a tribute to Ben on Sunday in honor of Father’s Day, calling him her “hero.”

“Our hero,” she said, next to a photo of him from his 2001 action film Pearl Harbor. “Happy Father’s Day.”

Jennifer and Ben don’t share any children together, but they do have children of their own from previous marriages – the Jenny From the Block singer has twins with ex-husband Marc, while Ben has three children with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
