Dr Dre, 59, receives Olympics training offer from archery gold medalist ahead of LA 2028

Dr. Dre has heard from two-time gold medalist Justin Huish that if he really wants to be an archer at the next Olympics, he needs to set his sights on it with a little help.

Speaking with TMZ After the music producer, also known as Andre Young, revealed he is targeting a spot on Team USA’s LA 2028 delegation, Huish said he believes the 59-year-old has what it takes to make it.

“Anyone can do it, at any age. There’s no age limit,” Huish said. “You can be a phenomenon and not really know it.”

Huish, who recently competed at the Outdoor Nationals in Texas, added that he and Dr. Dre found it easy to work together to train since they both live in Southern California.

“I’m coming to your house,” the 49-year-old said. “I’m going to train you. I’m going to spend my time training with you.”

Dr. Dre, aka Andre Young, is ‘dead serious’ about his intention to compete in archery at LA 2028

Justin Huish, who won two golds in Atlanta in 1996, wants to train the 59-year-old back in SoCal

In addition to his offer, Huish, who won two gold medals in team and individual archery at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, said he could provide Dr. Dre with everything he needed to succeed, including equipment and advice from Team USA coaches.

“If you’re really serious about this, contact me,” he advised the former NWA member.

“We’ll take care of it!”

Huish, who did not participate in the Olympic Games in Paris, is also training for a place at the 2028 Games, as they will be held on ‘home soil’.

Dr. Dre showed off his aim in a video earlier this week. He practiced archery in high school

Huish, 49, also wants to participate in the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles because they are on ‘home soil’

Just a few days ago, Dr. Dre confirmed that he is “dead serious” about representing the US in archery at LA 2028.

He first learned the sport in high school and now practices it in his backyard.

However, the distance at the Olympics is 70 meters, while viral footage of the Grammy Award-winning artist shooting arrows shows him about 10 to 20 meters away from the target.
