Dr Ash Gordon: Breakthrough in murder probe after Melbourne doctor was killed in Doncaster

Two teenage boys have been charged in the stabbing death of a beloved doctor in Melbourne.

Dr. Ash Gordon was fatally stabbed after chasing down several intruders who allegedly broke into his Doncaster home on Saturday evening.

Two boys, both 16, were arrested Wednesday by homicide detectives.

They were both charged with murder, aggravated burglary and robbery and will appear in juvenile court at a later date.

The breakthrough comes after detectives searched the house for several days.
