‘Dozens and dozens’ of Secret Service agents will protect Trump when he comes to be fingerprinted

Teams of Secret Service agents, FBI agents, federal prosecutors and judicial security continue to work on a plan to safely bring former President Donald Trump in for processing after a grand jury filed a sealed indictment against him.

A forward team has conducted a “sight tour” of the New York Criminal Court in Manhattan, where Trump will be questioned Friday while his legal team negotiates the details of his surrender to authorities.

The effort to protect the president has involved “dozens and dozens” of Secret Service agents, a law enforcement official involved in planning the moves said. Washington Post.

Trump was at Mar-a-Lago as the historic events unfolded — he was photographed at a party Thursday night and was spotted playing golf on his West Palm Beach course.

Members of the US Secret Service, New York prosecutors, the FBI and private lawyers on Tuesday worked out the terms and security for Trump’s surrender to New York authorities.

He is expected to fly into New York’s LGuardia Airport on Monday and then head to his penthouse apartment at Trump Tower.

Then he goes to Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s office for processing.

There was uncertainty about whether Trump would also appear for his indictment on Tuesday, where he would enter his plea. CNN reported that he would be charged on Tuesday, but that the timing was “fluid.”

Trump’s attorney, Joseph Tacopina, has indicated Trump would plead not guilty, saying in TV interviews Friday that he would challenge the legality of the charges “very aggressively” — an indication he’s preparing a series of motions to block it. postpone and change places, or otherwise have it thrown out of court.

Tacopina predicted prosecutors would insist on parading Trump in front of the public and media, but it’s not yet clear whether there will be a “perp walk” — or whether Trump himself will choose to be to be in the spotlight. He has no media appearances scheduled and his Truth Social account was quiet early Saturday.

Trump himself has labeled the investigation a witch hunt, called DA Alvin Bragg a “disgrace” and attacked the judge overseeing it.

Trump always travels with a Secret Service security detail and is regularly driven around in government SUVs when he travels to New York.

Still unspecified, the charges mark the first time in history that an ex-president has faced a criminal case — and the exact charges are expected to be announced in the coming days. The details of charges against a former president facing a possible trial in the midst of his presidential campaign continue to emerge.

“We’ve heard 34 counts now, and I guarantee it will be 34 when we find out next week,” Tacopina told Fox News poll host Sean Hannity.

The ‘silent’ money plan for Stormy Daniels included monthly payments by fixer Michael Cohen to pay off a porn star who claims to have had an affair with Trump. Individual checks signed by Trump may make up many of the charges.

Trump, 76, faces multiple charges of falsifying company records and at least one felony charge, the AP reported Friday.

Falsifying company records is a class E crime – the lowest level.

Payments to repay Cohen for money he provided to Daniels were categorized as “legal expenses” in the Trump Organization documents.

The schedule all comes amid potential protest on Tuesday. Trump himself called for protest when he first predicted his imminent arrest. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), a Trump ally, said she would be in New York on Tuesday and called for a protest.

Daniels told the London Times the case would somehow lead to violence.

“Whatever the outcome, it will cause violence and there will be injuries and deaths,” she said. “A lot of good can come out of this. But in any case, much evil will also come from it.’
