India-based RPM maker Dozee has unveiled a new AI-powered continuous patient monitoring system that can be used outside of the ICU and at home.
HOW IT WORKS
Similar to Dozee connected bed platformAccording to a press release, the new Dozee Pro Ex can also continuously monitor patients’ vital signs and has an AI-powered early warning feature that alerts care teams if a patient’s condition worsens.
What’s new about the solution is that it allows healthcare providers to monitor not only patients in beds, but also outpatients in the hospital and at home through a central command center and the nursing staff’s mobile app.
Additionally, Dozee Pro Ex features the wireless ECG patch from Seoul-based Wellysis, a spin-off of Samsung SDS. The S Patch Ex, which received U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval last month, performs continuous heart rhythm monitoring and provides AI-powered analytics. Dozee teased Addition of AI-enabled ECG patch expanded its RPM offering almost a year ago.

Among other things, Dozee Pro Ex was highlighted as a continuous RPM solution that can “improve the delivery of home healthcare services.”
It appears Dozee is betting on the emerging home health care market, whose growth has accelerated during the COVID-19 pandemic. It served as a care option to relieve pressure on an overwhelmed healthcare system while meeting unprecedented demand outside of the hospital.
Some of the major players currently occupying space in this segment include Apollo, Care 24, Max and HCAH, to name a few. According to a market analyst, these are providers Technical solutions may be required to meet the growing demand for comfortable home treatment. Due to this demand, a rapidly aging population and increasing cases of chronic diseases, the home healthcare market is predicted to become profitable around $52 billion by 2032and growing at a 19% CAGR from 2022.
Meanwhile, the Dozee Pro Ex is also an addition to Dozee’s ambitious MillionICU program, which aims to convert one million hospital beds across India into connected beds and help hospitals digitize patient monitoring.
