The rehearsals come a day after Angela was reported to police after the video obtained by MailOnline was uploaded to her Instagram account before being hastily deleted.

Angela said: ‘I definitely made the wrong decision when I filmed this video. I came home from rehearsals feeling giddy with excitement.

“That’s not an excuse because what I did was stupid and I’m sorry I let my excitement get the better of my judgment.”

In the clip, Angela can be heard laughing as she performs the dangerous sequence while the car travels at high speed.

A source told MailOnline: ‘Angela thought she was laughing and pretended she was on Strictly.

‘But leaning out of a moving car is incredibly dangerous and she should know better.

‘Her place on Strictly will not be in jeopardy, but she will be warned about her behavior in the future.’

Nick Simmons, CEO of RoadPeace, the national charity for road accident victims, said: ‘Every day, around five people are killed and more than 60 people are seriously injured on Britain’s roads.

‘Driving is a privilege, not a right. That privilege comes with a great responsibility for safety, but unfortunately many road users overlook this important fact.

Angela wrote on Instagram afterwards: ‘Week one DONE!!! I just had a bowl and a very small lie. My head is spinning and I’m not entirely sure what the hell happened.

‘What a night. Everyone was incredible. I literally forgot how to talk. I was so nervous/stunned, so far out of my comfort zone, so exposed, so ladylike.

‘But I loved every second and thank you all for the messages and comments on our TANGO!!

“When I heard we were doing it I almost threw up, but actually I loved being fierce and moody and fiery.”

Angela shares two young daughters Ruby, five, and Marnie, one, with husband Roy Horgan, who she married in 2014.
