Donte DiVincenzo ‘agrees four-year, $50 million New York Knicks deal’ and will reunite with Villanova teammates in Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart at MSG
Donte DiVincenzo has agreed a four-year, $50 million deal to join the New York Knicks, according to ESPN.
In the days leading up to free agency, New York was strongly tied to DiVincenzo after he declined the $4.7 million option in his contract.
The move will significantly bolster the Knicks rotation and will see DiVincenzo join his University of Villanova teammates in Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart.
DiVincenzo, 26, averaged 9.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game during 72 regular season appearances for the Golden State Warriors last season.
In 36 of 72 games last season, he was in the Warriors starting lineup.

DiVincenzo fits the form the Knicks and head coach Tim Thibodeau have been looking for in recent years in the form of a permitter player who provides solid 3-point shooting, strong defense and plays with a high amount of energy.
New York’s rotation on the wings already includes RJ Barrett, Quientin Grimes, Immanuel Quickley and the aforementioned Hart.
The Knicks made a separate move earlier in the day that cleared room for DiVincenzo when they traded Obi Toppin to the Indiana Pacers for two second-round draft picks.
