Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek is moving closer to completing a six-month move to Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Old Trafford outcast has struggled since his move to United in 2020, failing to string together positive form, increasingly hampered by injuries, and withdrawing from the plans of a series of managers.
A reunion with his former Ajax boss Erik ten Hag has failed to revive his career and in the three years since he made the switch to the Red Devils, Van de Beek has started just six games.
The 26-year-old spent the second half of the 2021/2022 season on loan at Everton but struggled for game time, making just seven appearances for the Toffees.
Last week, the Dutch international agreed personal terms with the Bundesliga club for a new short-term loan and according to Fabrizio RomanoVan de Beek will complete his medical treatment within the next 24 hours before the move is completed this week.

There is no mandatory deal, but should the move work out, Eintracht could buy Van de Beek for £12.5 million plus add-ons.
Despite the club paying Man United a loan fee, a potential permanent move for the midfielder would see the Red Devils make a significant loss on Van de Beek's £39 million purchase.
Ten Hag admitted earlier in December that the club was willing to let Van de Beek leave to pursue other options, saying: “I see that he has to play for his career and for everything.”
High-flying LaLiga team Girona were another club reportedly interested in signing the midfielder, and Van de Beek is said to have offered himself to Barcelona with a view to a move to Spain.
