Donald Trump’s new migrant death penalty policies revealed as he vows to protect ‘every American daughter’

Donald Trump announced Thursday during a campaign rally at the US-Mexico border that he will introduce new death penalty measures against illegal immigrants.

The former president traveled to Cochise County, Arizona, to highlight the stark differences between his immigration agenda and that of Vice President Kamala Harris.

During the 70-minute speech, Trump and the media stewed in the blazing southwestern sun as the former president spoke and brought victims of migrant-related crimes to the stage to share their painful personal stories.

After families in Texas and Maryland revealed heartbreaking details of the brutal deaths of their loved ones at the hands of illegal immigrants, Trump announced policy priorities to prevent future tragedies.

“We will close the border, stop the invasion, and begin the largest deportation operation in American history,” the former president said, adding that he will also “impose tough new penalties on illegal criminals.”

Former President and Republican presidential candidate Donald J. Trump speaks during his visit to the U.S. southern border in Cochise County, Arizona, U.S., August 22, 2024. His remarks included new policies that would implement the death penalty for illegal immigrant criminals

‘These include a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years for anyone found guilty of human trafficking, a guaranteed life sentence for anyone found guilty of child trafficking, and the death penalty for anyone found guilty of child or female trafficking.’

The new death penalty proposals are a striking step in his tough approach to immigration.

But those aren’t the only new capital crimes he wants to see.

“We will also impose the death penalty on major drug dealers and traffickers in other countries,” he told the crowd.

He also mentioned how other countries – he did not name specific countries – have clear warnings on their immigration applications.

“Their immigration papers have a statement that says, ‘Death to drug traffickers,’” Trump said.

He went on to say that the warning was written in “big letters, big, bold letters, 10 times the size of anything that was on the page” so that traffickers knew the consequences of their crimes.

“And those are the countries where they don’t have any drug problems,” he added.

The new death penalty policy was particularly poignant considering the victims the former president confronted during his border speech.

Rachel Morin, the Maryland mother of five who was raped and murdered before being thrown into a storm drain by an illegal immigrant, was celebrated at the event by her mother Patty Morin.

During her speech commemorating her daughter’s life and her horrific death, Patty burst into tears, overcome with grief.

When Trump saw the shocked woman, he gave her a hug and a kiss on the cheek to comfort the distraught mother.

Patty noted that the rape and murder of her daughter by an illegal immigrant did not happen near the border, but 1,800 miles away in Maryland, where Rachel lived with her family.

“We are here because we are losing our mothers, our daughters, our children to criminals, and that should not happen,” she said.

“We should be taking care of our country and our people, and the only way I think that’s going to happen is to close this border. Reinstate the policies that were already in place.”

A few moments later, another speaker from Houston, Texas, came to the microphone.

And the tears kept flowing.

Alexis Nungaray, the mother of 12-year-old rape and murder victim Jocelyn Nungaray, spoke candidly about the heartbreaking loss of her daughter at the hands of illegal immigrants in June.

“They had no reason to do what they did to Jocelyn,” the mother said, visibly upset by the case.

“One had an ankle bracelet. It didn’t stop anything. So now I have to spend the rest of my life with my son who always asks for his sister.”

“I really want everyone to realize how important border control is because we are losing very innocent people because of his screaming, which shouldn’t have happened in the first place.”

“I really hope everyone can hear my pain,” Nungaray said, fighting back tears.

When the Texas mother seemed uncertain about the gruesome details of her child’s death, Trump tried to comfort her as he absorbed the horrific story.

The former president quickly returned to the podium to once again offer his condolences.

“Jocelyn is now in heaven, looking down on us. In her name and in her memory, we will fight to protect every American daughter.”

Kamala says she wants to talk about the future now, [but] ‘These people want to return to the safe past.’

“We have no future with open borders and all those other problems.”
