Donald Trump’s granddaughter Kai has revealed the former president’s famous trick of throwing her off her game when they play golf.
Kai became a household name earlier this month when she delivered an inspiring speech at the Republic National Convention in Milwaukee.
But before that, she had already built a nascent social media presence based on her reputation as an impressive young golfer in Florida.
In March, the 17-year-old even won the women’s club championship at Trump International Golf Club West Palm Beach.
Her impressive swing, nearly 260 years of drive and dedication to the game earned her the position of Varsity Captain at The Benjamin School, a prestigious high school in North Palm Beach with an annual salary of $37,000. She is expected to graduate in 2026.

Kai, who hopes to become a professional golfer in the future, regularly writes online about her personal training sessions and intensive gym routines.
On Monday, a video has emerged of her playing with YouTube personality Grant Horvat – which has already been viewed more than 200,000 times – just a week after her grandfather’s video with Bryson DeChambeau was released and sent the internet into a frenzy.
Kai was asked who often wins the matches against her grandfather and she admitted that the former president usually wins, although the matches are usually close.
She said, ‘I watched half of it (the DeChambeau video) because I was working out. It was amazing. It was crazy.
‘Honestly, he always gives me a run for my money. It’s not that close.’
“It’s never really game over and I won on the 15th hole. He wins a lot. I have to say that. I have to get better.”
Horvat then asked Kai what her favorite golfing memory of her grandfather was. She told him about an occasion when she won despite his attempts to dissuade her.

Kai continued, “I wanted to say that the RNC was very special for both of us because it was right after he was shot and I hadn’t seen him since.
‘That was really special. We both got a little teary eyed. I’ll never forget that.
“It was like the world stood still. That was that kind of feeling. I was actually out with my friends. It was nice to see him again and it was a very special moment.
‘But on the golf course there’s a lot. I play with him so often.
‘One time I wasn’t on his team and I had to make an eight-foot birdie putt to win, and he tried to force me to win by standing right next to me.
‘I let it sink and I looked up and did this (fist pumping) and he started smiling. That was the best moment.
“When I made that putt, even though he lost, he was so happy and smiling and laughing. That was a very special moment too.”
