Donald Trump’s favorite celebrity doubles down on Kamala Harris endorsement after he admitted he ‘loves’ her

Donald Trump’s favorite A-lister has doubled down on her support for Kamala Harris for US president – after the Republican admitted his love for the star.

Julia Roberts. 57, who has campaigned for Harris and vice presidential candidate Tim Walz, drew Trump’s ire after urging wives of his supporters to secretly vote for Harris in an ad for the evangelical group Vote Common Good.

After Trump branded her “cringe” and said he was “disappointed” in her for narrating the video, Roberts has taken to Instagram to encourage others to vote for Harris again.

The star wore a T-shirt with the word POTUS and the female gender symbol on it, along with an I Voted sticker.

She wrote: ‘There is a time to hope, there is a time to pray and there is a time to vote. Today is the day!’ – before closing the comments section.’

In the ad released last month, a man and woman — both sports stars wearing striped caps and apparently supporters of Donald Trump — are seen entering a voting center.

The man says “Your turn honey” as the woman walks into a booth.

She looks at another female voter across the room, smiles and casts her vote for Harris-Walz.

Roberts says, “In the only place in America where women still have the right to choose, you can vote any way you want, and no one will ever know.”

As the women leave after voting, the man asks, “Did you make the right choice?” and she replies, “Yes, I do, honey,” before sharing a knowing look with her friend.

Roberts continues, “Remember what happens in the box, what stays in the box.”

Vote Common Good says they are working to help evangelical and Catholic voters find an “exit disaster” to vote Republican.

Trump took offense to Roberts in an awkward exchange on Fox and Friends, saying, “I’m so disappointed in Julia Roberts because I love…” before stopping herself.

He added: “She’s going to look back at it and cringe, did I really say that? It doesn’t say much about her relationship, but I’m sure she has a great relationship.

“Even if you’ve had a terrible…if you’ve had a bad relationship, you’re going to tell your husband. That’s a ridiculous ad. It’s so stupid. In a few days you’ll look back and say, did I really make that?’

Roberts is married to Danny Moder and the couple have three children.

Last month, Roberts stood up for women’s reproductive rights ahead of the crucial 2024 US presidential election.

The actress spoke on stage at the Harris-Walz rally for reproductive freedom in Georgia’s fiercely conservative Cherokee County.

The Smyrna, Georgia, resident was joined at the energetic meeting by Democratic Party leader Stacey Abrams.

Georgia recently reinstated a strict ban on abortion after six weeks of pregnancy – two years after the Supreme Court’s controversial overturning of Roe V. Wade.

Rape, incest and maternal health are all listed as ‘exceptions’ to the six-week abortion ban.

Roberts said it took her ten hours to reach the event, but she would do it “all over again” to inspire the “brave” men and women who attended.

She began her impassioned speech by sending “prayers” to those affected by powerful Hurricane Milton, which made landfall in Tampa Bay, Florida, on Wednesday evening.

She then explained that her parents were “activists” who encouraged her to be a “conversator” who showed interest in those who think “differently” than she does.

‘Obviously we all [in this room] feel the same [politically]she joked before encouraging fellow Democrats to “talk to all the people in their lives” despite political differences.

“Maybe they don’t understand things quite the way you do. Involve them in a conversation. Make sure they are registered to vote, even if they don’t vote for the person you think they should vote for.

“It’s the United States of America and we’ve been missing the ‘unified’ part for so long,” Roberts said, earning himself a round of applause from the audience, according to Fox 5.

Roberts said she “believes” in the state of Georgia and cheered on those who showed up at the rally.

‘I believe in Georgia. I wouldn’t have come home if I didn’t believe that we can achieve truly wonderful goals that extend beyond the borders of our state.

“I just hope that all the women here tonight talk to all the men who aren’t here tonight. And all the brave men who are here tonight, talk to all the other men who are not here tonight.”

Roberts has traditionally been outspoken about her liberal politics, having previously supported Democrats Barack Obama and Joe Biden for president.

As polls close tonight with just hours to go, top pollster Nate Silver has finally unveiled his final prediction for the 2024 election.

Silver says it’s “literally closer than a flip of a coin” as what could be the closest election in US history comes to a close on Tuesday.

But ultimately, he thinks Democrat Kamala Harris will come out on top, but only by a small margin in most of his contests.

“The race is literally closer than a tail: empirically, heads win 50.5 percent of the time, more than Harris’ 50.015 percent,” Silver said Tuesday morning.

According to his model, Harris won the Electoral College in 50.015 percent of simulations, compared to Trump’s 49.985 percent.

That equates to Harris winning 40,012 simulations, while Trump won 39,718.

He added that he had never seen anything like it during his years of predicting elections.
