Donald Trump suggests Joe Biden ‘fouled’ the coveted Resolute Desk while criticizing the president over border policies in remarks at an investors dinner where he raised $50.5 million

Former President Donald Trump suggested that President Joe Biden relieve himself at the Resolute Desk during a fundraiser in Palm Beach, much to the delight of attendees.

An anonymous source told The New York Times that Trump made the comments during a roughly 45-minute presentation at a dinner hosted by billionaire investor John Paulson on Saturday evening.

The comments came as Trump denounced Biden’s border policies and mocked him for making bad decisions behind the Resolute Desk, which was gifted to the United States by Queen Victoria in 1880.

“The Resolute Desk is beautiful,” Trump exclaimed. “Ronald Reagan used it, others used it.”

He then sounded “disgusted,” according to the unnamed visitor. “And he uses it. Maybe next time I won’t use it. It’s polluted. And I mean that literally, that’s sad.’

The comments came amid a tirade against the Biden administration’s border policies and the recent influx of immigrants from Latin America.

The source reported that guests burst out laughing and interpreted the comment as the former president saying Biden had pooped on the desk.

The comments followed a tirade against Biden’s immigration policies, which include allowing migrants to be “shipped, brought in and deposited in our country,” Trump said.

The former president claimed that the newly arrived migrants “make the Hells Angels look like extremely nice people.”

“These are people coming out of jails and prisons,” Trump said. “They come from incredible places and countries, countries that are a disaster.”

He then appeared to reference a comment from 2018, when he called Haiti, El Salvador and a slew of African countries “shithole countries.”

“And when I said why can’t we allow people from nice countries to come in, I’m trying to be nice,” Trump said.

‘Beautiful countries, you know Denmark, Switzerland? Do people come from Denmark? What about Switzerland? What about Norway?’

Trump has accused migrants of “poisoning the blood of the country” and made similar comments at a rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan last week, accusing Biden of unleashing a “carnage” at the country’s southern border.

“Under Crooked Joe Biden, every state is now a border state. “Every town is now a border town because Joe Biden brought the carnage, chaos and killings from all over the world and dumped them right into our backyards,” Trump said.

This criticism was echoed by other right-wing politicians such as Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), who accused Biden of opening the floodgates to immigrants with prior criminal convictions.

His concerns are echoed by other conservative politicians, such as Senator Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee.

In a press release from her office last month, Blackburn claimed that “30,000 illegal immigrants with prior criminal convictions, including murder, domestic violence and assault” had entered the country under Biden’s watch.

“As a direct result of this open border agenda, gang members from around the world are entering America and setting up operations, endangering police officers, families and public safety,” Blackburn said.

The publication was titled “Biden’s Open Border is Fueling Violent Crime” and referred to Laken Riley, the 22-year-old University of Georgia nursing student who was murdered by an illegal immigrant from Venezuela.

Although cases of violence are a topic of fixation in the press, the alleged ‘migrant crime wave’ is not supported by the most recent data.

According to the FBI, crime is down nationwide in 2023, with homicides down 13 percent year over year. This followed an unprecedented spike in homicides between 2019 and 2020.

Additionally, a 2020 study in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences found that U.S.-born citizens are more than twice as likely to be arrested for violent crimes than undocumented immigrants.
