Adorable clip of Barron Trump as a toddler on Donald’s The Apprentice resurfaces

An adorable resurfaced clip of Donald Trump’s son Barron as a toddler shows him confessing that he wants to be a “businessman” like his father when he grows up.

After staying out of the spotlight for most of his life, the 18-year-old, who Donald shares with his wife Melania, has become an online sensation in recent months.

And he recently made headlines again after the 6ft tall teenager stood by his father’s side at his victory rally following his 2024 election win, leaving fans ‘obsessed’ with him online – and trying to figure out every detail about his life .

Amid this renewed interest, an old video of the New York University student who appeared on his father’s show, The Apprentice, at 18 months old is circulating.

And though he is now notoriously private, Barron seemed like a natural in front of the cameras at the time.

In the clip, which aired in March 2008, he admirably announced that he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a powerful real estate mogul like him when he was older.

“To my left is Melania, and this is Barron,” Donald told the participants as he introduced them to his family. “Barron, say hello to the group.”

The little boy, who was in the arms of his mother, Melania, said excitedly, “Hi.”

“Barron will hopefully be a great entrepreneur one day,” Donald continued. “Melania, what do you think?”

“Barron, what do you want to do when you grow up?” she then asked the toddler, who responded, “Business.”

“A businessman, that’s right, just like your father,” Melania said. “And what’s Dad building?”

“House,” said little Barron, as the participants clapped for him.

“That’s pretty amazing. Only 18 months old,” said a proud Donald. ‘Hopefully he’s doing well [my daughter] Ivanka and [my son] Don Jr. did it.’

Donald and Melania welcomed Barron in 2006, and unlike the soon-to-be 47th president of the other children of the United States, he shunned the spotlight.

He grew up in a lavish penthouse apartment in New York City and attended an elite private school on the Upper West Side before moving to Washington, DC after his father was elected president.

When Donald left the White House, Barron moved with his parents to Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.

“Barron, what do you want to do when you grow up?” his mother, Melania, asked the toddler, who said, “Business.” She added: “A businessman, that’s right, just like your father.”

He graduated from high school in 2024 and is now attending New York University

He graduated from high school in 2024 and his famous father was in the crowd to cheer him on during the big moment.

He is now a student at New York University, and his mother previously described him as an “incredible young man.”

“I’m very proud of what he grew up with [be]. His power. His intelligence. His knowledge, his kindness. It’s admirable,” she said.

Barron was noticeably absent from much of Donald’s campaign trails in 2016 and 2020, but was said to have begun to show some political nous by urging his father to appear on a number of popular podcasts during his most recent campaign.

And after Donald’s victory in 2024, the teenager took the stage with his parents at a victory rally.

Immediately after his performance at the event, public fascination with the teen surged online – and he quickly became one of America’s most eligible bachelors.

Earlier this week, another video of him as a child went viral on X – and social media users were shocked that he used to have a Slovenian accent.

The clip was filmed for a 2010 special on Larry King Live that Donald and Melania did, and showed Barron, then four, getting ready to go to school for the first time.

Earlier this week, another video of him as a child went viral on X – and social media users were shocked that he had a Slovenian accent

‘Do I have to go to school now?’ he asked his mother, in a thick Slovenian accent.

Melania then told the youngster, “Yes, first you will have lunch and then you will go to school.”

“You can read, write and do arithmetic,” his father chimed in.

“This obsession with Barron is hilarious…” the X user captioned the clip, which has now been viewed nearly a million times.

“He had a Slovenian accent,” one bewildered user replied.

“Does Barron speak with a Slovenian accent even though he was born and raised in New York because of Melania? That’s pretty funny,” someone else wrote.

“The fact that he has a Slovenian accent worries me,” another user added.

“That’s so cute,” read a fourth comment. ‘He sounds like his mother. You notice that she was a very involved mother.’

A fifth said: ‘My respect for Melania was for a mother to be blown away.

“She had all the money in the world to pass him off to a babysitter, but she spent so much time with him that he sounded like her instead of anyone else in his life.”

It seems like Barron doesn’t have the accent anymore, as someone else commented with a more recent clip of him speaking, and it was gone.
