Donald Trump has expressed disbelief at the way Doug Emhoff has been treated by the media following allegations that he punched his former girlfriend, had an affair with his children’s nanny and behaved badly in the workplace.
DailyMail.com revealed last week that three of the woman’s friends said he hit her so hard she turned around while waiting in line at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival.
Vice President Kamala Harris’ husband has denied the accusation, but only to the political website Semafor.
DailyMail.com previously revealed cheated on first wife Kerstin, along with Najen Naylor, now 47, who also taught at their children’s school. She became pregnant, but did not keep the child.
Emhoff confirmed the affair.
On Tuesday, DailyMail.com also revealed that Emhoff was ‘inappropriate’ and ‘misogynistic’ at his LA law firm Venable, shouting profanity, held a men-only cocktail hour at the office, revoked the work benefits of women who didn’t flirt with him, and took only young, attractive colleagues to a ball in a limousine.
A 2019 lawsuit also alleged that other partners in the LA office that Emhoff headed were discriminated against, and that while engaged to Harris, he hired an “unqualified” part-time model as a legal secretary “because she was young, attractive and was kind to the mighty. men in the office’.
Trump said the reporting would be very different if he or one of his associates had been the subject of the story.
He described watching the “second gentleman” being interviewed on MSNBC.
“And it was like a love fest. I never asked him about that,” he told Ben Shapiro’s show.
‘I never asked him about the other one. You know, he had tons of problems and never asked him about anything.
“And we say he is a symbol for all men around the world. It’s the craziest interview I’ve ever seen.
“If that were me, this would be the best story of the last five years.”
The interview with former White House press secretary Jen Psaki even aired before the latest allegations surfaced, but after Emhoff admitted that his first marriage ended after he had an affair with the nanny and got her pregnant.
That didn’t stop Psaki from watching her guest.
“Something that has also been an important part, an interesting part of how people have talked about your role here is how your role has reshaped the perception of masculinity,” she said.

“And I’m not sure if you intended that, but you are an incredibly supportive husband.”
DailyMail.com has since revealed the allegations of the slap.
And today it emerged that lawyers who worked with him at his former law firm Venables said he shouted expletives and withdrew benefits from women who did not flirt with him.
Emhoff never responded to either accusation on DailyMail.com, but in a statement to the politics website Semafor, a spokesperson said: “This report is untrue,” adding that “any suggestion that he ever hit a woman is false is. ‘
