Donald Trump slammed the “weird” Tim Walz at a campaign rally in Montana on Friday night, calling his opponent’s running mate the socialist “comrade Walz.”
Speaking before a crowd of thousands at a sold-out Brick Breeden Fieldhouse at Montana State University in Bozeman, the former president called Kamala Harris’ running mate extremely progressive.
Trump criticized his actions as governor, ridiculing Walz’s decision to provide feminine hygiene products in school boys’ bathrooms, as well as his actions during the George Floyd riots in Minneapolis.
“As governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz allowed rioters and looters to burn down Minneapolis,” Trump said. “Tim Walz is a very strange man.”
Republican presidential candidate and former U.S. President Donald Trump attends a campaign rally in Bozeman, Montana. During his speech, he attacked Kamala Harris’ running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.
“He signed a bill to give illegal immigrants free health care, he abolished Columbus Day, he mandated that tampons be placed in boys’ bathrooms … he signed a law that allows the state to kidnap children to change their gender,” he continued on a whim, calling it an “ultra-liberal agenda.”
“Walz said socialism is just another form of neighborliness,” Trump told the crowd. “He ordered tampons in the boys’ bathroom.”
The former president criticized Walz for being endorsed by self-described Democratic Socialist Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont, calling him a socialist.
“If Comrade Walz and Comrade Harris win in November, the people cheering will be the pink-haired Marxists, the looters, the perverts, the flag burners, the Hamas supporters, the drug dealers, the gun confiscators and the human traffickers,” Trump said.
“But if Trump and Vance win, the police officers, firefighters, border patrol, steelworkers, small business owners, parents and hardworking citizens of every race, religion, color and creed will cheer.”

Trump criticized Harris’ and Walz’s record as “ultra-liberal”
The former president also mocked Harris for not accepting all of his proposals for the debate
Trump, however, didn’t just reserve his criticism for Walz — he also reserved a healthy dose for Harris, particularly her recent media appearances, or rather lack thereof.
“Kamala gives the exact same speech over and over again… every word is the same. I don’t do that, I have to give you a little variety, right?” he said to loud applause.
“If you can’t hold a press conference, you can’t be president,” he said, attacking Harris for not taking questions from the media for weeks.
‘Kamala will be exposed during the debate… but so far she refuses to debate.’
He then attacked her on her policies.
“She wants men to compete in women’s sports, she wants to take your guns away,” he claimed as the crowd cheered.
“Four more years of crazy Kamala Harris means 50 million more illegal immigrants,” he continued. “Kamala is working full-time to erase her history of open borders.”
“She’s been ruling the country for four years and she’s done a terrible job.”
The Brick Breeden Fieldhouse, which seats about 8,500, was filled to capacity, with only standing room for late-night entrants. Some of the thousands who had lined up were unable to attend the rally due to capacity issues.
Trump mocked Democrats Harris, Walz and Montana Sen. Jon Tester during his remarks
Trump also heaped praise on Montana Senate Republican candidate Tim Sheehy, 37, who is currently in a neck-and-neck race with incumbent Democratic Sen. Jon Tester.
“I must really like Tim Sheehy for being here,” Trump joked about the mechanical problems that forced his plane, Trump Force One, to divert to Billings, Montana, instead of Bozeman, just hours before the meeting.
“It’s a great state, it’s a beautiful state and we love it,” Trump said of his hours-long trip through the area after the unplanned diversion.
“He’s truly brave,” Trump said, referring to Sheehy’s combat experience amid the controversy surrounding Walz’s “stolen bravery.”
The governor, who served in the National Guard for decades, has repeatedly said he served in Afghanistan over the years. He did not, instead serving in Europe supporting operations in the Middle East.
The comments have recently sparked a firestorm of accusations of “stolen bravery” against the Democrat from veterans, the military community and Republicans who say he has not been truthful about his service record.
“You know the other one talks about courage,” Trump said, referring to Walz, who “has the opposite.”
Tester “is a radical left-wing nutcase, just like Kamala,” Trump continued.
“That’s why we have to choose Tim Sheehy,” he added.
Sheehy, who himself gave a speech at the pre-Trump rally, was seen handing out and sometimes throwing fast food at Trump supporters waiting in line before the event, accompanied by his children and wife.
“I’m tired of this nonsense, we have to save our country,” he shouted to the crowd as he explained the importance of his challenge to Tester.
Montana Senate Republican candidate Tim Sheehy received massive support from the crowd on Friday
It was the first time the ex-president had campaigned in the state since 2018. Attendees, many of whom had waited in line for hours to get in, told DailyMail.com they were looking forward to the “historic” event.
Trump’s fiery remarks came after a day of frustration over mechanical failures.
Earlier in the day, Trump’s plane, Trump Force One, encountered a problem and was forced to divert to Billings, Montana, about 140 miles east of Bozeman.
The unexpected detour prompted the former president to take a charter plane to the event instead of his Trump-branded Boeing 757.
