Donald Trump set to appear at Penn State football game just days before election, school reveals

Donald Trump will visit a swing state just three days before the presidential election when he attends Penn State’s college football game against Ohio State.

The No. 3 Nittany Lions will host the No. 4 Buckeyes on Nov. 2 in a huge Big Ten battle.

And according to Yahoo! Sport’Ross DellengerTrump’s team is making plans for him to attend the game in State College.

Although the visit has not yet been completed, Penn State noted that they were aware that a “private individual” had invited Trump to the game “as a guest in their suite.”

“The United States Secret Service is working with University Police and Public Safety and other state and local law enforcement on safety and security measures surrounding the presence of presidential candidates,” they continued in the statement, which was posted by reporter Ben Jones.

“With that in mind, we encourage fans, anyone visiting campus and anyone attending the game to arrive early to the game or to their intended destination.

The visit to Penn State was expected to come after the former president showed up at Alabama’s game against Georgia last month.

In that case, fans on X noted that Trump’s presence necessitated increased security, leading to extremely long lines for fans.

Trump sat next to famed golfer John Daly, musician Kid Rock, Alabama Senator Katie Britt and Senator and former head football coach Tommy Tuberville.

Trump also attended the Pittsburgh Steelers’ victory over the New York Jets last Sunday evening.

The 78-year-old arrived about halfway through the first quarter and was greeted by a small crowd of supporters wearing Pittsburgh jerseys carrying a banner that read “Trump Nation.”

Later, he waved from his suite as some fans sang “USA.”

However, franchise legends Jerome Bettis and “Mean” Joe Greene both released statements afterward endorsing Trump’s rival for the presidency, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.

“I know this city and I love this city – we are working hard to make things happen,” Bettis said in a video message on his Threads account.

‘No hot air. No bull. This is what defines the Steel City – and it’s the opposite of what Donald Trump stands for. Donald Trump has made promise after promise to the city of Pittsburgh, and time and time again he has failed to deliver.

“And it’s time we elect a leader who will fight for us. Someone who rolls up their sleeves and gets the job done. Don’t just complain in a half-empty room. There is only one person in this race who fits that bill: Vice President Kamala Harris.”

In a video on the Kamala for PA account on X, Green added, “You definitely got my vote.”

On the other hand, Trump received support from a pair of former Steelers in wide receiver Antonio Brown and running back Le’Veon Bell.
