Donald Trump reveals his two new nicknames for Kamala Harris… as Republican brands VP a ‘DEI hire’
Donald Trump is slowly shedding his criticism of Joe Biden in exchange for an attack on his new likely rival for 2024, Vice President Kamala Harris.
The former president is trying out some new nicknames for the Democratic candidate, including putting the words “lyin” and “laffin” in front of her name on Truth Social and at his rallies.
But Trump has not yet put behind him his statements about the current president, whom he called “corrupt” and “sleepy.”
Harris, who underperformed in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary, is taking over Biden’s campaign after the president ended his re-election campaign on Saturday and endorsed his No. 2 candidate.
But some Republicans say Harris was selected for her current role solely because of DEI — the initialism for “diversity, equity and inclusion” programs. And critics say the Democratic Party has no right to effectively ignore the voices of American people by removing Biden and replacing him without an open process.

Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tennessee) called Harris a “DEI hire” in an interview Monday because Biden said during the 2020 election that he would “hire a Black woman as vice president.”
“And what about white women? And other groups?” Burchett added.
Burchett posted the following on X on Monday: “The media supported this president, lied to the American people for three years, and then abandoned him for our DEI VP.”
Trump has flooded his Truth Social account with posts about the “lying” Kamala Harris since she took over Biden’s campaign on Sunday.
“Lying Kamala Harris destroys everything she touches!” he wrote in a post on Tuesday.
In another question, the former president asked: “Does lying Kamala Harris think Joe Biden is fit to lead the United States for the next six months? She needs to answer the question.”
“Now it appears Joe is delegating his presidential authority to unelected Washington bureaucrats! He doesn’t even trust his Vice President. WHO RULES THE COUNTRY?” he added.

In a post Monday night on his social media website, Trump wrote: “ABC Fake News is such a joke, one of the absolute WORST in the business. They try to make Crooked Joe into a brave warrior because he didn’t have the ‘guts’ to fight it out — He quit!”
“Then they tried to paint ‘Sleepy’ as a great president – he was the WORST – and make the lying Kamala into a competent person, which she is not.”

Trump agreed to debate Biden at an event hosted by ABC News in September, but is now pushing for the debate between him and Harris to be hosted by the much friendlier right-wing Fox News.
