Donald Trump knows why world leaders are pushing for meetings in Trump Tower: it’s because he is the favorite to win the November election.
And he cited the DailyMail.com/JL Partners election model, which gave him a 55 percent chance of beating Kamala Harris, who is at 45 percent, on Wednesday as evidence of his rise in the polls.
He made his comments as he ended a news conference on the ground floor of Trump Tower.
The former president announced he would meet British Prime Minister Keir Starmer later in the evening and sit down with Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelensky on Friday morning.

Essentially, our election model analyzes the latest poll numbers, along with decades of voting and economic statistics, to try to predict who has the best chance of winning the Electoral College.
Last week, Harris had advanced even slightly after a strong debate. The numbers suggested she had a 50.2 percent chance of winning.
But since then, through a series of swing state polls, Trump has regained the momentum he enjoyed earlier this year.
The race remains a close call and Harris is on track to win the popular vote.
Still, the results led some analysts to wonder whether Harris, who was catapulted into the race when President Joe Biden dropped out in July, may have already enjoyed her best weeks.
“If current trends continue (even if they have only been going on for about a week), we could see Trump taking a more concrete lead in the race in the coming weeks,” said data scientist Callum Hunter of JL Partners.
“September appears to have been Harris’s peak and trends suggest this peak has come to an end.”
