Donald Trump makes extraordinary claim over his golf ability – after Bryson DeChambeau says he ENVIES the president’s skills on the course

Donald Trump recently made the remarkable claim that he defeated 21 scratch players at a golf tournament in Florida.

While the 45th President of the United States is a leading authority on golf as he owns several courses in the country, it comes as no surprise that Trump has played his fair share of rounds.

In a recent interview, the 78-year-old Trump bragged about winning a club championship against younger players.

“I mean, I just won the club championship in Palm Beach, where we have 21 scratch players,” Trump claimed. “I won the seniors. And I played so well in the seniors, I said, ‘You might as well play the regulars and beat the kids.'”

“We had 21 scratch players and I won. You don’t just do that. A lot of people can’t play in club championships. The club championship is our major and they can’t handle the pressure,” he continued.

There were mixed reactions on social media, with some golf fans questioning whether Trump is as good as he claims.

But the former US president has shown his qualities at the clubs before and has won a number of high-profile admirers in the process.

Following his recent appearance on the Break 50 web series, LIV Golf star Bryson DeChambeau praised Trump’s iron play.

“Man, his iron play was amazing,” DeChambeau said. “I can’t tell you how many times he hit the ball within 30 feet of the regulation line on the green.

“His driver swing is the most repeatable I’ve ever seen. I wish mine was that repeatable. I really do.”
