Donald Trump makes bold Green Bay Packers prediction during RNC speech ahead of 2024 NFL season

During the longest speech in the history of American political conventions prior to the presidential election, Donald Trump made a bold statement about the Green Bay Packers.

The Republican National Convention was held in Milwaukee, with Wisconsinites favoring the Packers.

Trump spent much of his 92-minute speech thanking everyone who spoke at the convention and the many people in the audience.

As Trump thanked the host city for hosting the convention, he saw people holding up cheese heads, a symbol worn by Green Bay fans at games.

“A very special thank you to the extraordinary people of Milwaukee, and the great state… there you are, there you are!” Trump said when he saw the blocks of foam cheddar. “You are so easy to recognize!”

“Green Bay’s going to have a team this year, right?” Trump said, almost asking himself. “They’re going to have a good team.”

Green Bay is expected to have a strong 2024 season after reaching the Divisional round of the playoffs last season after knocking off the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card round.

The bulk of the Packers roster remains together from last season, with quarterback Jordan Love leading the way.

The biggest barrier to a successful 2024 season for Green Bay is its divisional opponents.

The Lions reached the NFC Championship Game earlier this year, the Bears have been revived with No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams and the Vikings have replaced quarterback Kirk Cousins.

Trump has a long history with the NFL. Many believe he has a personal dislike for the league because, despite several attempts, the league has never let him own a team.

Trump once tried to buy the Colts, Patriots, Cowboys and Bills.

Trump’s last feud with the NFL occurred in 2017, after Colin Kaepernick knelt during the national anthem.

“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, if someone disrespects our flag, you’d say, ‘Get that son of a bitch off the field right now. Get out of here! He’s fired,'” Trump said.

Trump said this when he was still president, which led to a lot of outrage and protests among the players.
