Donald Trump is more recognizable to black voters after being ‘persecuted’, allies claim as he brags his arrest photo is the ‘best ever’ ahead of presidential debate

Black business owners in Atlanta said they had more to deal with Donald Trump now that he has faced criminal charges.

Trump made a surprising call Wednesday in a roundtable with Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.), Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-Texas) and Dr. Ben Carson in a barbershop near the first debate location.

While speaking to a panel of seven other Trump surrogates and local Black business owners at Rocky’s Barbershop, Donalds answered an incoming call and gave everyone a chance to speak with the former president.

Trump bragged about his “best arrest photo ever,” while black business owners swooned during the call.

The former president heads to Atlanta on Thursday for his first general election debate of 2024 with President Joe Biden.

Marc KD Boyd, the founder of the Atlanta nonprofit Helping Empower Youth, told Trump that the increase in “support you’re getting from the black community” is a reflection of the black community feeling that “we have received similar’ treatment by the black community. Legal system.

“We’ve been railroads since the day we came here. That’s how we felt, right?’ Boyd, who was called “Coach” by other panelists, said. “So you can recognize that this will get you support from Black people, and then we can kind of recognize that we’re in trouble.”

“So my question is, what can you do about that Alvin Braggs on your side doing railroad work like that. What can we do about these Fani Willis and Alvin Bragg people who are, you know, sending some poor black person to jail right now for some crime?” the veteran and former Lockheed Martin employee asked.

Bragg is the Manhattan district attorney who brought the hush-money lawsuit against Trump that resulted in the 34 counts of falsifying corporate records related to his payment to keep porn star Stormy Daniels quiet about their affair ahead of the 2016 election.

And Willis is the district attorney in Fulton County, Georgia, where Trump is facing a lawsuit related to election interference.

Both Bragg and Willis are black.

“Well, you know, it’s amazing that this happened,” Trump replied to Boyd. “And as you saw, all the legal scholars say these are not cases – these cases should not be brought. it’s just a terrible thing. It’s armament.’

“But since that happened, black support, I think, the representatives will tell you this, black support has gone through the roof,” the former president claimed. “And I think they equated it with the problems they had.”

“But since this happened, the mugshot, like the mugshot, is the best. By the way, he beat Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra by a wide margin,” he boasted.

“Since it happened. support among the black community and the Hispanic community has skyrocketed.”

The infamous mugshot was taken when Trump had to surrender to law enforcement in Georgia in the case against him in Atlanta due to the fallout from the 2020 election.
