Donald Trump tells Elon Musk that Biden is ‘close to vegetable state’ and can ‘barely walk’ after he was filmed sleeping on the beach

Former President Donald Trump ridiculed Joe Biden’s mental and physical state during a rambling interview with Elon Musk at X Spaces.

Speaking Monday night after technical issues delayed the start of the event, Trump delivered his most pointed comments toward his former opponent, as he has done at some of his campaign rallies since Biden dropped out of the White House race.

He strongly criticized Biden’s appearance during the president’s weekend visit to his Rehoboth Beach home, where Biden spent several hours on the beach with his wife Jill and granddaughter Naomi and took a bike ride near his Delaware vacation destination.

“Biden is, you know, close to the plant-based stage right now, in my opinion. OK?” Trump told Musk.

“I looked at him on the beach today and I thought, ‘Why would anyone let him?’ The guy could barely walk. Why would anyone let him? Does he have a political adviser who thinks this looks good?’

“You know, he thinks this looks good? Because it looks so bad,” Trump continued.

“It’s ridiculous. I mean, and he’s been doing this for a long time. You know he can’t lift the chair. The chair weighs about three ounces. It’s meant to be lifted by children and old people. And he can’t lift it. It’s all insane,” Trump continued.

“It’s clear that we just don’t have a president,” Musk agreed in a wide-ranging interview that included a number of bizarre moments, including Trump saying Harris looked like his wife Melania, who was on the cover of Time magazine.

Trump, 78, spoke on C-SPAN a video clip aired of Biden, 81, leaning back in his beach chair as he sat in front of the waves on a balmy August weekend at the beach. The clip went viral as online users posted about the president getting some R&R now that he’s put the campaign behind him.

But the source of Trump’s comments about Biden being unable to lift a chair was unclear. Reporters traveling with Biden over the weekend didn’t see him until he was at his chair. There have been earlier clips of Biden walking shirtless on the beach.

On Sunday, Biden rode past reporters on a bike ride, waving one-handed as he rode past journalists without answering questions about Gaza, Russia and Trump’s claims that he was angry about being expelled.

Harris’ campaign criticizes Trump for staying home and golfing instead of holding more campaign rallies

Trump’s criticism of Biden comes as Kamala Harris’ campaign ridicules him for staying home instead of going to swing states, while Harris has a 3.5 percent lead in the polls at a time when he has held a narrow lead in key battleground states.

Trump has held a number of rallies since his party convention, the latest in Montana, a state that is not hosting a presidential election but is home to a key Senate race.

Pressed about his campaign schedule at his press conference last week, Trump said it was because he was “way ahead and I allowed their campaign convention to go ahead.”
