Donald Trump has criticized Meghan Markle for her treatment of the Queen, furious that she was “deeply disrespectful” to Her Majesty.
The former US president said he was “surprised” that Prince Harry had been invited to his father’s coronation after a public row broke out between the Sussexes and the rest of the Firm.
Speaking to former UKIP leader Nigel Farage on GB News, Trump revealed he had high hopes for the big day on Saturday and gave King Charles his full support, saying the monarch ‘loves the country’.
He also paid tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II, calling her “incredible” and praising her for going through “years and decades without controversy.”
The 76-year-old was photographed yesterday on his Scottish golf course ahead of filming for the interview with his friend and political ally.

In a clip of the sit-down, which aired at 7 p.m GB News tonight Trump questioned Meghan’s treatment of Her Majesty.
He said, ‘I think she [Meghan] been very disrespectful to the queen. How can you be so disrespectful to the Queen?
‘She [the Queen] was incredible, for decades she never made a mistake. I can’t think of a mistake she made, she was never controversial.’
He added, “You can’t disrespect her and I think Meghan was very disrespectful to her, very disrespectful.”
He went on to say he agreed with Farage when he said the Queen was “the most popular human in the world.”
In a clip released ahead of the interview, Trump also said he had high hopes for the coronation itself and King Charles’s reign.
He said, ‘I think it’s going to be a great day, I think they’re going to do a great job and he [Charles] loves the country. I got to know him [Charles] very well and he loves the country, really loves the country and he loved his mother.
“That’s why I felt she was treated so disrespectfully by Meghan and [there was] just no reason to do that.
“Honestly, I was surprised Harry was invited.”
It’s not the first time Trump has lashed out at Prince Harry and his wife – in 2021 he said the duke had been used “horribly” by Meghan and said he wasn’t a fan of the former actress.
He said, ‘I’m not a fan of hers. I was not from day one. I think Harry was used horribly and I think he will regret it one day. I think Harry is used and horribly used. I think it ruined his relationship with his family, and it hurts the Queen.”
Speaking of the Duchess, he added: “I think she has been very disrespectful to the Queen, who is such a wonderful woman, such a wonderful person, a historical person. I think she is very disrespectful to the royal family and especially to the queen.’
In the interview, Trump also blamed current US President Joe Biden for not attending the coronation – he will be represented by his wife Jill, despite other world leaders such as French President Emmanuel Macron attending.
Trump suggested his 80-year-old political rival couldn’t “physically” handle it, saying he would have gone had he been president.
He said, “I think it’s hard for him to do it physically. I think I should come here for him.
“He has a lot of things to do and a lot of strange things happening. But he should definitely be here as a representative of our country. I was surprised when I heard he wasn’t coming.
“You’d think he’d be here, he’ll be in Delaware where he spends a lot of time, he spent a lot of time there during the election.
“So I don’t know, but I was very surprised to see that I think it’s very disrespectful that he isn’t.”
When asked by Farage if he would have attended had he been president, Trump replied, “I would.”
He added: ‘I think it’s a very important event. I love it. A lot of people talk about the monarchy, if you had it you wouldn’t have it, I think it’s fantastic. It keeps your country together for the most part.’
Last night Trump and Farage were pictured laughing together after the ex-president met the former UKIP leader for today’s interview.

Trump – sporting his signature red ‘Make America Great Again’ cap – teeed off again today at his Turnberry Golf Course in South Ayrshire as his short trip to Scotland comes to an end.
Trump, clad in his golf attire, laughed and joked with a clothed Farage ahead of tonight’s GB News interview, where the two will discuss “court cases in America,” the coronation and the state of Scottish politics.
Trump’s golf trip across the pond to Turnberry came when he opened a new course on Scotland’s east coast that he named after his late mother. It came as Scottish lawmakers also re-examined an investigation into how he could buy the two resorts.
At home, Trump is also facing growing legal troubles after being charged by a Manhattan district court for his alleged role in the payment of “hush money” to a porn star during the 2016 presidential election, as well as an ongoing rape case in New York City.
Trump and Farage were all smiling as the two reunited on Scotland’s picturesque west coast.
The two, who seem to have formed a close friendship through their political support for each other, had a short discussion, which was not overheard, before opening up to the rest of the room.
“Does everyone know Nigel?” Trump asked, focusing on what appeared to be a buzzing, packed, chandelier-lit hall.
“I’m doing a little interview tomorrow,” the embattled ex-president joked, suggesting he could take the opportunity to reveal his views on several key issues as he runs for the 2024 Republican nomination.
A photographer then steps in and gestures as if to ask if he can take a picture of the two men together.
Farage has been a very outspoken supporter of the former president, appearing at his rallies several times and defending many of the controversies that have surrounded the businessman-turned-politician.
