Donald Trump BLASTED by Chris ‘Mad Dog’ Russo over former President’s treatment of Joe Biden

Iconic sports host Chris ‘Mad Dog’ Russo is not happy with the way Donald Trump is treating Joe Biden.

While he doesn’t normally talk about politics, Russo recently gave his opinion on Trump during an interview on Jimmy Traina’s Sports Illustrated Media Podcast.

Specifically, the former Mike & The Mad Dog co-host lashed out at Trump’s criticism of Biden in the weeks since the current president withdrew from the 2024 race in favor of his vice president, Kamala Harris. At the time, the former reality star said that Biden is “by far the worst president in the history of our country.”

“What does he do?” Russo said of Trump. “Biden announces he’s leaving, he’s retiring. And he kills him? Say what you want about him… but [Biden] has given his life to the United States since 1972.’

Russo then offered his condolences to Biden after the loss of his first wife and son in a car accident in 1972.

“He also had a tragedy in his life with his wife and child dying in that car accident,” Russo continued. “I think his heart, whether you like his policies or not, is generally in the right place. I think he cares.”

Russo then compared Biden’s humanity to Trump’s.

The fact that [Trump] “We can’t just let him walk away quietly from the scene and have his day,” Russo said. “Even Biden, when Trump got shot, said, ‘I’m going to call him,’ and he called him by his first name.”

“Even Biden has to be above the fray sometimes. That really bothered me. Don, can you let the guy go with a little grace 24 hours, six months before the election? And not beat him up… that really bothered me.”

Listeners aren’t that familiar with Russo’s political leanings.

Trump has been none too kind to his new opponent, calling Harris “the least admired, least respected, worst vice president in the history of our country.”

Politico reported earlier that Russo of New Jersey donated to former Garden State Gov. Chris Christie’s 2020 presidential campaign.
