Donald Trump bizarrely summons ‘shy’ golf star Bryson DeChambeau up on stage to celebrate his election triumph

Donald Trump was joined on stage by Bryson DeChambeau at a presidential election party in Florida in a bizarre celebration before the 78-year-old was declared the new president of the United States.

Trump defeated Kamala Harris to the 270 seats needed to regain the title he lost in 2020, and according to the Associated Press he would have won 279 seats to his rival’s total of 223, with four results to go.

In a nail-biting night for Harris and the Democrats, one of the key facets of Trump’s victory came from victories in the swing states of North Carolina, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Georgia.

The 78-year-old was clearly in high spirits in Florida on Wednesday morning as he addressed fans and relished the moment he appears poised to reclaim the White House. He was joined on stage by two high-profile figures from the world of film. sports in DeChambeau and UFC President Dana White.

White, the president and CEO of the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship), has been vocal in his support of Trump, describing the 78-year-old as “the most hard-working man I’ve ever met” – before bizarrely giving his opinion which sounded like his own victory speech.

DeChambeau was also called onto the stage (pictured wearing a black cap) and waved awkwardly at Trump

But that wasn’t the only strange sports-politics collaboration of the night, with Trump also inviting DeChambeau – one of the world’s leading golfers of his generation – onto the stage and claiming he’s “having a great career going.”

Trump also joked that the 31-year-old can hit a golf ball “a little longer” than he can, although The Scientist, as DeChambeau is also known, came to the stage a little late.

DeChambeau is a two-time winner of the US Open – one of the sport’s four majors – and finished second in the PGA Championship.

“We have the US Open champion Bryson DeChambeau here today, fantastic.

‘He clearly hits the ball a little longer than me! Just a little bit. Bryson DeChambeau is here. Where is he? What happened to Bryson?’

Trump then bizarrely starts shouting the golfer’s name: ‘Bryson? Oh, he was shy! He’s hitting balls?’

He added: ‘He’s on his way? Bryson. Oh, look at him. He has a great career. Great US Open, Bryson. That’s fantastic work’

DeChambeau eventually arrived, before walking onto the stage and awkwardly waving at Trump.

White launched into what appeared to be his own victory speech, mentioning several streamers and Joe Rogan

Trump quickly brought out his longtime supporter White, the president of MMA’s UFC

The 78-year-old has a well-documented golf history and in 2016 he was said to own no fewer than 17 golf courses through his holding company.

However, White was invited to say a few words onstage at the podium, and after some glowing praise for Trump, he launched into what seemed like a victory speech of his own.

“No one deserves this more than him, and no one deserves this more than his family,” White began, perhaps in expected fashion.

‘This is what happens when the machine comes after you. What you’ve seen over the years, this is what it looks like.

‘He keeps going, he doesn’t give up. He is the most resilient, hardworking man I have ever met in your life. His family are incredible people. This is karma, ladies and gentlemen. He deserves this, they deserve it as a family.”

But he soon started naming names, similar to what you might expect from an Oscars acceptance speech, naming various streamers.

‘I would like to thank a number of people very quickly. I want to thank the Nelk guys, Adin Ross, Theo Von [all streamers]. And the mighty and powerful Joe Rogan. Thank you America, have a nice evening.’
