Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump finally put his lisping voice into words during an interview with Tesla CEO Elon Musk on Monday night.
After listeners noticed a change in the former US president’s voice, Trump addressed the unusual lisp on Truth Social last night, saying it was due to the “complexity of modern equipment.”
He said that ‘my voice sounded different and strange in certain places because of cell phone technology’.
The meeting of the two most influential men on the planet was dominated by listeners who noted that Trump seemed to have a lisp or even slurred speech at times, and had difficulty with words that contained the “s” sound. Memes of Trump as Mike Tyson and Daffy Duck immediately started trending.
“It must be your bad hearing. Get your ears checked,” Trump’s spokesman told reporters during a debate over whether the issue was dentures or audio.

Trump finally addresses his lisping voice from Monday night, blaming the ‘complexity of modern equipment’
While Trump explained his lisping remarks, he also took the opportunity to brag about the “record number of viewers” he and Musk had received, and personally thanked the tech billionaire for “such a strong show of support” during the extraordinary interview.

The duo spent two hours discussing immigration, religion, global warming and much more.
Even before the long-winded interview began, problems arose. A cyberattack just before the duo went live caused a 43-minute delay.
But once Trump was on his feet, he spoke about his religious stance after the July 13 attack on his life in Pennsylvania. Musk said the shooting showed Trump’s courage. Musk urged Americans to vote for the Republican presidential candidate instead of Kamala Harris.

As the conversation progressed, the two discussed a range of topics, including their admiration for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and Trump’s accusation that Joe Biden has a low IQ.
The 45th president of the United States also promised to build an “Iron Dome” defense system for America, similar to the one Israel uses to intercept missiles. He also promised to oversee the largest deportation of illegal immigrants in history if he were to become president in November. He stressed that cities like New York are “overwhelmed” and that “rough people,” including terrorists, are entering the U.S. from Mexico.
āThese are people who are in prison for murder and all sorts of other things, and they are now being released into our country,ā he said.
There was also an awkward moment that could potentially cast the politician in a bad light, when he told Musk that his presidential rival Harris looked like his wife.
Discussing Kamala’s cover of Time magazine, he said, “She looks like the most beautiful actress who ever lived. It was a drawing, and she actually looked very much like a great first lady, Melania.”
