Donald Glover shares a laugh with his mother Beverly while filming a scene for Mr. and Mrs. Smith

Donald Glover appeared to be in a jovial mood as he laughed with his mother, Beverly Glover, on the set of his new series, Mr. and mrs. Smith, in New York City.

The 39-year-old actor looked all white and was seen carrying two bags of groceries while laughing at them on a staircase with his mother.

Glover later filmed a more serious scene in which he appeared terrified for his life while trapped in a jammed revolving door with an IED bomb about to go off during filming at the Whitney Museum.

The musician – also known by his stage name Childish Gambino – rocked a white turtleneck sweater over a matching jacket and pants.

The star – which Mr. Smith stars in the series – also wore white sneakers for the role and rocked a full beard.

He was later seen in a gray T-shirt, black pants and brown shoes while continuing to shoot with his mother.

Meanwhile, Beverly looked chic in a multicolored mottled top, black pants and a matching black tote bag.

The show is based on the hugely successful 2005 film of the same name, starring Angelina Jolie 47 and Brad Pitt, 58, as married hitmen.

It was so created by Glover, Francesca Sloane and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. However, Phoebe parted ways with Donald and the show due to “creative differences” and was replaced by Maya Erskine.

Glover revealed the news during a controversial piece for Interview Magazinewhere the actor/writer/producer/director interviewed himself.

During his self-interview, Glover confirmed that they had “classic creative differences,” but added that he thinks they are still friends.

‘What does it mean to be a friend? I still like her. I guess she still likes me,” Glover said.

mr. Smith: Glover plays Mr. Smith in the series. The project release date has been moved from 2022 to 2023

After revealing that Erskine will be taking Waller-Bridge’s place, Glover added, “Yeah. She’s cool. It is exciting. I really like the show. I’m writing the final now.’

Glover initially came up with the idea for the reboot and initially brought it to Waller-Bridge, with whom he co-starred in 2018’s Solo: A Star Wars Story.

The original report from The Hollywood Reporter last September said both Glover and Waller-Bridge have remained friends and the breakup was “amicable.”

Waller-Bridge’s departure appears to have caused a setback for the series’ release, which has been shifted from 2022 to 2023.
