Don Lemon sparks liberal fury as he drops bombshell about black voters

Don Lemon angered liberals when he warned them that Kamala Harris might not be able to count on a large majority of black voters in her bid to defeat Donald Trump.

Recent polls show Harris improving the Democratic Party’s standing among black people by double digits after Joe Biden dropped out of his re-election campaign.

However, Lemon, a former CNN figure and darling of the liberal media, has debunked this data with his recent interviews with black voters across the country.

Last week, he presented his findings to former White House press secretary and now MSNBC host Jen Psaki, who said many Black voters ā€œdonā€™t knowā€ that Harris and Black male voters are grateful to Trump for the pandemic aid.

ā€œI’m not sure the polls are accurate in terms of who’s going to support who on the stricter rules,ā€ he told Psaki.

Don Lemon angered liberals like Jen Psaki when he warned them that Kamala Harris may not be able to count on large margins of black voters in her quest to defeat Donald Trump.

Lemon explained that black men in particular ā€œsupported Donald Trump because he gave them a stimulus check.ā€

ā€œHe gave them $1,200 when he was president. They somehow didnā€™t remember that the current president also gave them a stimulus check, except his name wasnā€™t on it,ā€ he said, referring to Biden.

“When they got the check and his name was on it, they immediately thought it was straight from Donald Trump. I think that’s good marketing,” Lemon said.

Lemon, citing his interviews with black people from the Jersey Shore to the battlefields of Pennsylvania and Ohio, said black people don’t really know Harris.

“In Pittsburgh, or the Jersey Shore, in Ohio, a lot of people didn’t know who she was. They weren’t familiar with her,”

He then turned back to Trump and said, “They thought he was better for the economy. That he was bringing money into the community, that he was on the side of black people.”

Lemon then complained that these voters were falling for what he called disinformation about Trump.

However, the former CNN host pointed out that many of the reasons voters gave for supporting Trump were based on misinformation.

“I think it’s important that they understand and go into the voting booth with some knowledge that they are informed as voters. And for other reasons, they told me that the information was all wrong. They didn’t understand the right reasons why they should vote for him.”

Conservatives seemed to delight in Psaki’s bewilderment over Lemon’s findings on social media.

“Psaki becomes visibly upset after Don Lemon reveals voters don’t know who Kamala is AND black voters are flocking to Trump,” wrote one X user. “That’s not the story. The story is she has NO IDEA this is happening.”

Another added: ‘Jen Psaki doesn’t seem happy when Don Lemon tells her that most people in the swing states don’t know who Kamala is and that they believe Trump is better for the economy.’

A recent Pew research Research shows that Harris has a 77% lead over Trump among black voters, compared to 13%.

In the latest polls of Joe Biden’s failed campaign, he received only 64% of the black vote.

Harris had largely taken over voters from then-third-party candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., whose support fell from 21% to 7%.

Kennedy Jr. has since withdrawn from the race and is endorsing Trump, though his name remains on ballots in several states.

Harris’ numbers are still a far cry from the 92% of the Black vote that Joe Biden received in 2020. Moreover, Lemon’s recent videos show that these polls may not accurately reflect the number of Black voters.

And in one cringe-worthy exchange, a voter laughs in Lemon’s face after the journalist tries to argue with his personal experience. In another instance, he sensationally asks a male interviewee if his opposition to Harris is because “she’s a woman.”

Lemon’s clip, which has been viewed 2.1 million times, begins with him asking a stranger on the street: “Who are you for?”

The man replies, ā€œTrump is the winner.ā€

When Lemon questions him further, he continues, “I can’t really say right now. But I just feel like [Harris] is not good for President. She is good for Vice. But not the real lead in the country.’

The journalist then asks the young man if his opinion ā€œhas anything to do with the fact that she is a woman,ā€ to which he answers resolutely ā€œno.ā€

He added: ‘Because I feel like women, no, I’m not going to give you that.’

An incredulous Lemon replied, ā€œShe’s the vice president! She’s the senator.ā€

A female voter is then filmed telling the journalist, “I want Donald Trump. I just think we need someone who has a stronger background in the military and the world in general.”

She later added: “I know nobody likes him, but we had good times with Donald Trump. Our economy was good. Life was good.”

A fourth voter tells the reporter, “I want to support the Democratic Party, but Trump seems to be in it already.”

Lemon tells two voters that the “statistics show” the economy was stronger under Biden than it was under Trump. Both voters reject his claims.
