Don Cheadle opened up about his pandemic wedding to partner Bridgid Coulter after publicly revealing his relationship status in June 2021.

“It was just me and her, our kids, our dogs and the shepherd in the backyard,” Don, 58, told People in its latest issue while promoting his latest film White Noise.

Don shares his sons Tai, 28, and Imani, 26, with Bridgid, 54.

When asked what the best part of being married was, Don quipped, “The tax break.”

‘Our accountant proposed to us, really. It’s like, ”You guys have to do this. Please do this,” he teased.

Don added, “I’m lucky to be in this relationship.”

The Oscar-nominated actor first revealed that he was married during a June 2021 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Guest host Wanda Sykes, 58, admitted she believed they had already tied the knot.

‘Yeah, I mean, that’s understandable since we’ve been together for 28 years before we got married. I consider you innocent,’ Don said.

Don also told People about his relationships with his sons Tai and Imani.

“I’m so lucky to be around my ‘adults’, I don’t even call them kids anymore. They’re very grounded and not from Hollywood, and I’m glad for that,” Don said.

Tai works on a camera crew on various movies and TV shows, while Imani is a development associate at Don’s production company, This Radicle Act.

White Noise premiered at the 79th Venice International Film Festival in August and was released in select theaters in November before streaming December 30 on Netflix.
