Dominic Purcell and wife Tish Cyrus share tragic news after fallout with her daughter Noah and messy family feud

Dominic Purcell has announced the tragic news of the death of his father Joseph at the age of 80.

The Prison Break actor, 54, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share the poignant update, two weeks after sharing that his father had been admitted to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin with unspecified health problems.

Dominic shared a photo of himself and wife Tish Cyrus, 56, posing with his late father, and wrote a lengthy caption honoring his father’s legacy as a “highly respected” patriarch.

“My father passed away tonight,” he began, before praising the medical professionals who cared for Joseph during his time in the hospital.

‘For what it’s worth. As a father, I believe the greatest gift he can receive from his child is knowing that he is deeply loved. Deeply respected,” he continued.

‘Surely a father’s only wish for his child is that he grows, prospers and improves. That was his wish. It became reality. I know very clearly that I cannot beat him, but I can try to be like him.”

Dominic also spoke fondly of Tish’s close relationship with her father-in-law, writing, “To my beautiful wife. It’s very easy to love you. It’s very simple.’

‘The bond and deep love you had for my father, and he for you (both of you) was amazing. “When he said, ‘What have I done to deserve these two beautiful angels?’” he wrote.

Dominic also spoke fondly of Tish’s close relationship with her father-in-law, writing, “To my beautiful wife. It’s very easy to love you. It’s something simple’

The Australian actor also thanked his wife (who is Miley Cyrus’ mother) for performing music for Joseph during his hospital stay, writing: ‘The songs were perfect. They brought him peace in his last hours. It was a nice gesture. Thank you.’

Continuing his heartbreaking essay, Dominic went on to praise Joseph for showing “courage, dignity and stoicism” in the face of “great pain.”

Dominic said he hopes Joseph’s strength, dignity and humility will be honored by his father’s many grandchildren.

Tish quickly expressed her sadness in the comments and revealed the origin of the happy family photo Dominic used in his post.

‘The day this photo was taken was one of the best days of my life. Dom and I got our marriage license and then walked down Sunset Blvd with Joe,” wrote Tish, who married Dominic last year.

‘He was so happy and full of life. It’s a day I will never forget. Knowing Joe meant loving him. The kindest and gentlest soul I will ever know. Him being loved is something I will never take for granted.”
