Green-fingered Dominic Cooper fills his £65k red Austin Healey-Sprite classic with giant plants as he takes a spin around London

Classic car lover Dominic Cooper was seen taking his £65k Austin Healey-Sprite for a spin on Thursday.

The 43-year-old actor could be seen with two huge plants which he packed into the vehicle on London’s Primrose Hill.

He later sped on the car, which retails for between £1,800 and £65,000 plus, depending on its condition.

La Mama Mia! The star donned a dark hoodie and pants with gray sneakers as she entered the Austin Healey-Sprite.

An interested passerby was seen taking pictures of the vehicle, which drew attention.

The car is a small open sports car that was built in the UK between 1958 and 1971.

It first retailed for £669 and had a top speed of 82.9mph and could accelerate from 0-60mph.

Eye-catching: The car caught the attention of passersby, including a man who took a picture of it with his phone on Thursday.

Dominic revealed in 2021 that five cars had been stolen from his north London home in the space of a year.

The thieves made off with his 1978 Ferrari Dino 308 GT4, valued at around £83,000, a Range Rover, another vintage Austin Healey, as well as his prized Jaguar XF.

His luxurious red Jaguar F-Type convertible coupe was also robbed in an unfortunate run of bad luck.

In early 2021, MailOnline exclusively revealed that Dominic’s stolen Ferrari was found in a junkyard.

The rare 1978 Ferrari Dino 308 GT4 was recovered by police tens of miles away from the star’s north London home.

Thieves appeared to hook up the gleaming red sports car as it stood outside the star’s abode in exclusive Primrose Hill, and police found it days later in a junkyard more than 50 miles away in Reigate, Surrey, along with four other stolen vehicles.

A source told MailOnline at the time that the car had been taken to a compound, explaining: ‘The dashboard broke. Some of the cables have been cut.

‘The car is not in perfect condition, it needs a polish. Everyone was talking about how Dominic Cooper’s car is.

Speaking at the time, the Metropolitan Police said a car matching Dominic’s had been recovered in Surrey.

A spokesperson said: ‘On 19 February we received a report that a vehicle had been stolen from Primrose Hill. The robbery is believed to have occurred that same day.

On Tuesday, February 23, Surrey Police recovered a vehicle matching the description reported stolen at a Surrey address. The investigations continue.

A Surrey Police spokesperson added: “We can confirm that a number of vehicles, believed to be stolen, were recovered at an address in Betchworth on February 23. Investigations are ongoing.”
