Dolores Catania shows off her slimmed-down figure as she and Rachel Fuda step out in New York City

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dolores Catania flaunted her weight loss while in New York on Monday, just days after admitting to using a diet drug to shed pounds.

The 52-year-old was joined by her co-star Rachel Fuda at the New York Live studio on a promotional tour.

The pair appeared to be enjoying their time in the spotlight as they posed for photos as they left the venue.

Catania flaunted her slim figure as she wore a denim jacket and matching pants on her outing.

Catania’s outing comes as her doctor, Rocio Salas-Whalen, defended her decision to prescribe Mounjaro, a drug similar to Ozempic, to the media figure.

Catania’s doctor made her comments during a recent interview with Todaywhere she expressed that there was a wide variety of reasons why a patient would be prescribed a weight loss drug.

“Anytime we see someone who we don’t think they need the medication, unless you’re their doctor, you don’t know their medical history,” she said.

Salas-Whalen went on to state that the general public should not rush to provide answers when a person admits to taking the medication, which is widely touted as an easy way to lose weight in a short period of time.

“Nobody can assume just by looking at someone that they don’t need it or they’re doing it for the wrong reasons,” she said.

Catania admitted to using the weight-loss drug Mounjaro during an episode of Watch What Happens Live that aired last week.

When asked by host Andy Cohen if she was on the medication, the reality TV personality stated: ‘Which housewife isn’t on Ozempic?’

She then commented that she didn’t want to be the heaviest person in The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast.

‘I wouldn’t come [the] reunion looked bigger than anyone, so I got on the bandwagon,” she said.

“The reunion is in two weeks. I do have a trainer [as well],’ Catania said.

When asked if she has experienced any side effects by the host, 54, the mother-of-two said only that she is ‘not hungry’.

The TV personality then clarified that she was “actually.” [taking] Mounjaro’, a drug very similar to Ozempic.

After the episode aired, viewers flocked to social media to label Catania’s latest interview as “unhealthy and triggering.”

“Dolores saying it’s #Ozempic took me out so proudly lol smh [shaking my head],” one Twitter user wrote.

Another asked, “Wait a minute, isn’t there a shortage of Ozempic for diabetic patients?” And Dolores just casually admitted she’s on it with a big smile on her face?’

A third commented that it was “a bit confused that Dolores and the rest of the #RHONJ cast” jumped on the Ozempic bandwagon so quickly as their castmate Jackie [Goldschneider] recovering from an eating disorder.’
