Dolores Catania reveals how Teresa Giudice really feels about her friendship with Melissa Gorga

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dolores Catania has revealed how Teresa Giudice really feels about her friendship with estranged sister-in-law Melissa Gorga — and how it affects their relationship.

Catania, 53, spoke about their split in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com on Thursday, as she remains friends with both ladies.

Over the years, Giudice and Gorga have always been at odds, sometimes going for years without speaking, as documented on The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

However, it looks like something good is finally happening between the two families as Giudice and her brother Joe got into a mega-feud around the time of her wedding to Luis Ruelas in August 2022.

The feud was documented during the RHONJ season 13 finale, when Giudice told her brother about a rumor that Melissa Gorga was cheating on him with another man.

This caused Gorga and her husband to skip the wedding, and the two have not communicated since, other than occasionally filming for season 14 of the reality show.

However, Catania remains friends with both ladies amid their estrangement, including Giudice, whom she has known since she was a child.

“Listen, does she like it? I’m sure she’s not crazy about it,” Catania admitted about Giudice’s feelings about her friendship with Gorga to DailyMail.com.

“But she doesn’t hate it either because there’s no reason why I shouldn’t be friends with Melissa,” Catania continued.

“I was there from the beginning and I’ve been friends with them through their goings-on, so Teresa’s not really one to tell people who they can be friends with.”

She even suggested that there could be a world where the two mend their relationship.

“Because what happens when they get close again?” Catania asked DailyMail.com.

‘And I don’t say them alone, but to other friends in groups. If they get into a fight, you pick a side and they make up, where does that leave you?’

During the interview, the New Jersey native also mentioned that she hasn’t seen Joe and Melissa Gorga in person lately, but has spoken to them.

“I keep in touch with everyone,” Catania told DailyMail.com.

“I was recently with Teresa, Jen Aydin and Kim D on her podcast,” she continued, adding that she would be seeing fellow cast members Margaret Josephs and Jen Fessler later in the day.

Catania’s comments come just a few weeks before season three of the hit series Traitors premieres in January.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star took part in the US version of the show, which was filmed in Scotland and will air on Peacock.

The show, featuring 21 contestants, follows them all as they compete in teams for a cash prize of up to $250,000.

However, there’s a catch: three of the participants are declared ‘traitors’ because they try to sabotage everyone else to win for themselves.

The viewers of the show know who the ‘traitors’ are, but not the fellow participants.

For the upcoming season, Catania will be joined by fellow Real Housewives of New York star Dorinda Medley, former Real Housewives of Potomac member Robyn Dixon and Real Housewives of Dubai’s Chanel Ayan.
