Dolly Parton has been secretly working on creating a ‘major new album’ set to be released later this year.

The project, reportedly titled Dolly Parton: Smokey Mountain DNA, will be the 78-year-old country legend’s 50th album.

Her niece, Jada Star, confirmed the details The sun as she talked about how her aunt was inspired by her heritage and collaborated with more than twenty of their family members on the album.

‘It’s an album that documents her entire life. It’s been a huge undertaking that involves the whole family,” Star, 44, revealed. “It’s an album she produced with over 20 family members with over 30 songs. She sings along with us on every song.’

The Claim To Fame participant continued, “The album features songs written about her childhood, her mother and father, uncles and aunts, siblings, all the way to her nieces and nephews.”

“We can all share interpretations of her songs or write our own songs for them. It has been a very crazy project,” Star said.

The reality star noted that she wrote a song called The Orchard on Parton’s upcoming album, which she said is “all about our family tree and what we share with the world.”

However, Parton’s goddaughter Miley Cyrus is not on the record.

Star added that the “album will be released alongside the docu-series” about Parton’s Welsh heritage, which was announced earlier this month.

In November, Parton released an album entitled Rockstar, featuring covers of Cyrus’ 2013 hit Wrecking Ball and Queen’s We Will Rock You, released in 1977.

Rockstar marked the release of its first record since 2016’s Pure & Simple.

The report comes less than two months after a source told The Sun that Parton would reportedly release her own wine range.

“Dolly is always looking for new ways to reach her audience and thought her own wine was a great idea,” the insider told the outlet. ‘She’s not a big drinker herself, but she likes to have something special when she wants a drink.’

The insider added that Parton “has been involved in the development of the wine and is excited to see it hit shelves.”

Artist Dolly is no stranger to expanding into activities other than music.

She also has a theme park empire inspired by her celebrity and a range of other commercial endeavors.

Earlier this year, she launched a “rockin’ new baking collection” in her Duncan Hines line.

She launched the brand hard in January 2022, when she released two cake mixes – banana and coconut – and two matching frostings.

Just a year later, in January 2023, the country queen added cornbread, cookie and brownie mixes to her collection, which she revealed she mixed for husband Carl Dean: “My husband is a huge chocolate fan, so I cook him all the time. chocolate.’

Since then, she has expanded the baking range even further to include yellow cake, blueberry muffin, banana nut muffin, cinnamon swirl crumb cake and chocolate cake mixes.

Dolly has also added a new creamy chocolate buttercream frosting.

But Dolly’s foray into food is just one of the star’s ventures, with the singer having dabbled in everything from cookbooks to perfumes.

It’s the latest addition to the star’s plethora of commercial ventures, which include dog clothing merchandise, fragrances, books and her infamous Dollywood theme park.

In 2022, Dolly revealed she was focusing on her playfully named Doggy Parton, a line of dog essentials including toys and even clothes.

“My love for pets is stronger than ever,” she said in a statement. “This inspired me to start my own line of Doggy Parton clothing, accessories, toys and more with a little ‘Dolly’ flair.”

There are several sturdy Dolly-themed toys available, including a soft microphone, a guitar and a bright pink platform heel.

Dolly worked with SportPet Designs on the pet items, which also include a pink cowboy hat with feathers and a hilarious blonde wig, so dog owners can make their pooch look just like the Jolene singer.
