Dollar Tree shoppers race to buy baking essential sold 43 percent cheaper than at Walmart

Dollar Tree shoppers are flocking to find an essential baking item that is now priced 43 percent lower than at Walmart.

Domino’s Powdered Sugar is currently on sale at Dollar Tree for just $1.25 per pound.

This versatile confectioner’s sugar is a staple in many baked goods, such as donuts, and is perfect for making icings, glazes and glazes.

On the other hand, the same product has a 43 percent higher price tag at Walmart, where it currently retails for $1.79 per pound.

Dollar Tree fans are often happy to find a cheaper alternative to more expensive brands.

Consumers are currently raving about $1.25 pumpkin-themed placemats from Dollar Tree, which look strikingly similar to a more expensive version sold at Pottery Barn.

The retailer offers a budget-friendly alternative to the higher-end retailer’s Bedford Harvest Cork placemats, which cost $48 for a set of four.

Dollar Tree has four designs: pumpkins, fall leaves and messages like “Give Thanks” and “Hello Fall.” Getting a set of four costs $42 less than Pottery Barn’s offering.

The product description on Dollar Tree’s website promises that these polyester placemats will “protect tables while adding a touch of excitement” to gatherings or everyday meals.

Customers have flooded the review section, with all but two giving the product a five-star rating.

Shoppers also purchased a highly prized $5 Christmas ornament from the store.

Dollar Tree received backlash from fans for raising its price cap earlier this year

It comes just weeks after Dollar Tree faced widespread backlash over drastic price increases at its stores.

The company raised its price ceiling from $1.50 to $7 in an effort to boost profits.

Customers had reacted angrily to the news of the higher prices, with one saying: “So now it’s Seven Dollar Tree, and they can raise their prices.”

But CEO Rick Dreiling told investors last month: “We are already seeing meaningful sales growth at the 1,600 Dollar Tree stores that have converted to our newest multi-price format.”

And Chief Financial Officer Jeff Davis said rolling out the $7 limit to more of the budget chain’s 16,000 stores will “deliver higher gross profit per transaction.”

The company says the higher price cap allows it to sell a much wider range of items – including food, snacks, beverages, pet care and personal care – that attract wealthier customers.
