Parklife Festival fans blast ‘terrible’ line-up after Doja Cat is announced as the 2024 headline act alongside Sugababes and Disclosure
Parklife Festival fans have branded this year’s line-up ‘terrible’ after the acts were announced on Tuesday.
American rapper Doja Cat, 28, will headline Parklife Festival, alongside Disclosure and Sugababes.
Those who had been eagerly awaiting the announcement were disappointed when organizers revealed who would appear on stage.
Furious fans took to X, formerly Twitter, to complain about the line-up of the festival, which takes place at Heaton Park in Manchester from June 8 to 9.
They said, ‘How does it get worse every year’ and ‘I guess I can save my money then’.

‘I won’t buy an early bird anymore before the line-up is known’ and ‘It seems like everyone is busy that weekend’.
“Last year’s lineup is so much better,” and “that’s such a terrible lineup.”
‘Disappointing compared to previous years…’
Fans also added that the lineup did not include any techno artists. “So no good techno this year right?”, someone wrote.
Last year, Rudimental, Fred Again, The 1975, Raye and Annie Mac took the stage alongside The Prodigy and Skrillex.
This year Doja Cat will headline alongside Becky HillAnne MarieMahalia, J Hus, Digga D, Camelphat, Rudimental, Peggy Gou and Kaytranada.
Wet Leg will then make their first UK festival headlining appearance at Truck Festival, which will take place from July 26 to 28.
The Streets, The Kooks and Declan McKenna will also be among the acts taking to the stage at the Oxfordshire festival.

Sugababes will also take to the stage at the festival in Manchester
The official Parklife Festival line-up was confirmed on Tuesday morning, ahead of Thursday’s pre-sale and Friday’s general sale.
MailOnline has contacted Doja Cat’s representatives for comment.
Doja is also headlining Coachella 2024, joining the lineup alongside Lana Del Rey and Tyler, the Creator.
Gwen Stefani will also reunite with her No Doubt bandmates at the music extravaganza in California’s Coachella Valley.
Gwen will take the stage with guitarist Tom Dumont, bassist Tony Kanal and drummer Adrian Young – almost 10 years after they last performed together in 2015.
Elsewhere this week, Doja’s mother was granted a temporary restraining order against the singer’s brother, Raman Dlamini, after she alleged incidents involving abuse that including knocking out Doja’s teeth.
The Grammy winner has not publicly responded to the allegations, and her sibling, 30, denied them in a video shared by The Shadow Room.
In her filing, Doja’s mother, Deborah Elizabeth Sawyer, alleged that Raman abused her “multiple times” and threatened to kill her.
Deborah claimed one of the most recent incidents happened earlier this month and asked for protection for her 13-year-old grandson Myles.
The filing alleged that the teen had been subjected to “insults, shameful and demeaning comments.”

In the documents, Doja’s mother noted that she previously had a restraining order against her son, but that it has since expired.
The court said that if the Paint the Town Red singer, whose legal name is Amala Ratna Zadile Dlamini, was granted protection against her brother, she would have to apply for her own restraining order. She has yet to do that.
Doja has kept quiet about the legal issues, instead focusing on her upcoming Scarlett Tour.
Recognized for chart-topping hits like Say So, Rules, Juicy and Ain’t Sh**, Doja kicked off The Scarlet Tour last fall, her first North American tour.
