Tripathi, known for the films “Gangs of Wasseypur”, “Masaan”, “Stree” and web series “Mirzapur” and “Criminal Justice”, started his career with an uncredited role in the 2003 Kannada film “Chigurida Kanasu” .

“Now there is some discipline in my life. I take time off every week, spend as much time as possible with my family. I feel good about it too. Before, I didn’t even have time for myself. Now I practice yoga or go jogging and have a hour of walking,” he said.

Tripathi also spoke about his latest releases “OMG 2” and “Fukrey 3”, which have earned over Rs 100 crore at the box office.

“Despite an A certificate, ‘OMG 2’ is being praised and doing so well on OTT. Laughter is very important for life and ‘Fukrey 3’ is doing just that. Both the films are receiving appreciation and love from the audience. I am grateful “, he said.

His favorite job is acting, irrespective of the platform, cinema or OTT, the actor said.

“I love acting. By acting I get to know myself better. Every character gives me something back. Every story makes me aware of something new. Life is short and it takes a long time before we get to know ourselves. Everything in It all feels as if we know ourselves so little.”

From Bhanu, his character in “Mimi”, Tripathi said he learned to keep his promise no matter what. Kaleen bhaiya from “Mirzapur” taught him how to run an organization.
