Dogs fatally attack a man behind a building in New York
ALBANY, N.Y. — A man was fatally attacked by several dogs in Albany, police said Thursday.
Officers found multiple pit bulls attacking the man behind a building when they responded to the scene Wednesday around 6 p.m. One of the officers fired his weapon to stop the attack, hitting at least one dog, according to a statement from the Albany Police Department and a department spokeswoman.
The man, whose identity is not known, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
Police said all dogs have been examined and will be placed in the appropriate environment.
Police said the investigation is continuing and did not release any additional information Thursday morning.
