A shirt-wearing dog taken from her “drunken” owner by police is now being “happy and cared for” by the woman’s family.
Pooch Mia was detained by police a week ago after they received a text message from a citizen concerned about her well-being.
They rushed to the scene and found the mutt dressed in a light blue shirt and on a red leash.
Officers say the owner was “drunk” and was not taking care of the Mia.
After checking the welfare officers decided to take the dog away from the drunk owner in Wolverhampton.

They have now informed the locals that Mia is in the care of relatives.
A BTP spokesperson said: “We can confirm that the dog Mia is happy and being cared for by the female’s family while our investigation is ongoing.”
Robin Atter, a local resident, said on Twitter: ‘That’s great. Thanks for the update and good luck with the great work.”
Earlier, the police spokesperson said: ‘Our officers received a text message about a woman who was drunk and was not taking care of her dog properly.
“Agents attended and ensured the dog’s welfare while further investigations are underway to determine any violations.”
Another local resident said on social media: ‘How do I report a crime?
“That shirt is a fashion crime.”
