A “selfish” dog walker has been criticised for leaving his car in a private car park in an upmarket Sydney suburb for an entire day.
The disgruntled resident gave the driver a reprimand in a neatly handwritten note after they parked their car in Cremorne, on the city’s north coast, this week.
“These are private properties and are marked as such. You knew that when you parked here this morning and took off with your two dogs,” they wrote.
‘Standing here all day while the owner of the parking space had to park somewhere else is extremely selfish and arrogant.
‘There were still parking spaces available on the street when you parked here, but you knew that.’
The writer, who ended the sharp note with “karma,” told the driver to park his vehicle elsewhere next time.
“Your car details have been registered. Don’t come here anymore, take your selfishness elsewhere, thank you,” they wrote.
Locals immediately cheered the writer after a photo of the letter was posted on a community Facebook page this week.

“Actually nice and polite and not hurtful,” one group member wrote.
“Karma writes well,” said another.
“The irony of the selfishness of the writer who thinks he is entitled to a reserved parking space, as if he were part of the royal family, is lost,” said a third person.
“Beautiful handwriting,” added a fourth.
Others shared their own parking woes in the comments.
‘This happened to me a few years ago when I lived in Cammeray. [They] disappeared for [more than] “Four o’clock,” someone wrote.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted North Sydney City Council for comment.
Residents of New South Wales are entitled to use private parking spaces specifically designated for them under the strata parking regulations.
Parking spaces allocated to properties managed under strata arrangements may also have a number of spaces available for visitors.
A property owner or resident caught violating parking regulations after receiving a warning may be fined $1,100.
