Dog owners slammed over very annoying habit while walking their pooch: ‘What is the matter with you?’

A fed up homeowner has lashed out at pet owners for dumping bags of dog poop in his red bin during their walks.

The man said he was furious after repeatedly finding dozens of bags of rubbish in his bin in Bondi, in Sydney’s upscale eastern suburbs.

“Bondi dog owners, what’s wrong with you?” the man wrote on Facebook.

He explained that he left his bin on the sidewalk to collect the rubbish and discovered it filled with bags of dog waste the next morning.

‘Our bin was only emptied last night and a collection of bags is already building up. There’s even a steamboat in the grass,” he wrote.

“Bring yourselves together.”

The frustrated homeowner threatened to take drastic action to protect his bin and said he would install an electric fence.

Social media users agreed that people should show respect to others by not throwing their dog’s litter box into someone else’s litter box.

“I get a lot of pleasure out of it – dog shit is at the bottom of my freshly cleaned litter box,” said one woman.

‘You have a dog, handle your own dog! Don’t make others part of your problem,” another user wrote.

However, others were confused by his rant and asked what exactly he was objecting to.

‘Are you angry when people pick up the rubbish and throw it in a bin, or don’t pick up the rubbish?’ said a man.

“Better in the trash than left on the street,” one woman wrote.

“Mate, you complain when people pick it (dog poop) up and when people don’t.”

The man regularly complained about dog owners who lashed out on Facebook at walkers who refuse to clean up their pet’s mess.

He claimed to have seen dog poop on his neighbor’s lawn and called it “Bondi’s biggest dog poop” because of its size.

He ordered the perpetrator to clean up the mess and said the problem was “getting out of hand” on Beach Road – a popular strip near Bondi Beach.

Frustrated locals said Waverley Council should start ‘fining offenders’.

A Waverly Council spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia that dog owners could face fines if they do not clean up after their pets while out and about.

“Waverley Council Rangers patrol public places such as parks, beaches, promenades and residential and commercial areas to ensure responsible dog ownership is enforced,” the spokesperson said.

‘Under the Companion Animals Act 1998, the fine for failing to immediately remove dog faeces from a public place is $275.’
