Woman left fighting for her life after being viciously mauled by three dogs at property in Dandenong had been attacked by one of the pets just days earlier – as neighbours reveal terrifying history of other incidents
A woman fighting for her life after being mauled by three dogs was reportedly attacked by one of the pets just days earlier, as authorities appear to be prosecuting one of the owners.
Jordan Garrett was attacked by the animals at a property on Ross Street in Dandenong, in Melbourne’s south-east, shortly before 10am on Thursday.
Police tried to break up the attack by using capsicum spray, but the dogs continued to maul Ms Garrett, in her 20s, and had to be shot dead.
It is believed they were two American bulldogs and a pit bull.
She remains in a critical condition in Dandenong Hospital and police are investigating.
It has now emerged that Ms Garrett was attacked by one of the animals earlier this week, according to a neighbor who said the dogs had been causing concern for some time.
“I was home sick from work and heard screaming and crashing,” the neighbor said The era.
“Then the police came and the shooting started.”
It comes as shocking CCTV footage has emerged of an attack allegedly involving one of the animals in July.

The footage, published by the newspaper, shows a large white and brown dog mauling a much smaller Shiba Inu, who screams and screams in pain.
The Shiba Inu’s owner screams and falls to the ground during the attack before a male bystander runs over and begins kicking and punching the larger dog in an attempt to get him to stop.
The man repeatedly shouts “let go” and “no stop” as he tries to wiggle the dog away.
Greater Dandenong City Council said it had received multiple complaints about the dogs at the property and was prosecuting a resident of the home, who is not the victim, over the attack in July.
The case will go to trial in November.
A shirtless man was arrested at the property following Thursday’s incident, but Victoria Police told Daily Mail Australia the arrest was not related to the dog attack. No further information was available.
