Just a day after unveiling a new iPad mini, Apple’s App Store appears to be having some issues. We’re monitoring a series of reported download issues on social networks like Threads and X (formerly Twitter) and testing it ourselves.
While you can still browse the App Store and search for applications, the problem occurs when you try to download one, with the store usually canceling the action without explanation. That’s the case for me and Lance Ulanoff, Ny Breaking’s editor-in-chief, who are both trying to download various apps on iPhones.
Down Detector is also seeing a spike in reported outages from users, with the site’s App Store receiving 2,547 reports as of 11:13 AM ET. Separately, the Apple Store as a whole as well as Apple Support, Apple Pay, Apple Music and iTunes are seeing spikes on the site. However, that is not yet thousands.
Like Ny Breaking, we’re monitoring the issue and following below as we share live reports of a possible partial App Store glitch, or at least an app download issue.
