Does my butt look small? Georgina Rodriguez’s curvy backside is censored by the Iranian regime’s prudish publication in Cristiano Ronaldo’s birthday photo

  • The 30-year-old was pictured in a family photo wearing a figure-hugging black dress as he celebrated the football superstar’s 39th birthday last week.
  • But when the photo was picked up by Hamshahri newspaper, it was changed

Model Georgina Rodriguez’s curvaceous derriere has been censored by a prudish Iranian regime newspaper.

The 30-year-old, who is dating Cristiano Ronaldo, was pictured in a family photo to celebrate the Portuguese football superstar’s 39th birthday.

Rodriguez is seen wearing a figure-hugging black dress as he kisses Ronaldo’s eldest son Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. hugs, as the family of six sits around a birthday cake.

The photo, posted to Ronaldo’s 621 million followers on Instagram, was quickly picked up by news media around the world, including Hamshahri newspaper.

But instead of printing the original, the Tehran publication blatantly altered the photo so that Rodriguez’s round butt is nowhere to be seen.

AFTER: The photo – posted to Ronaldo’s 621 million followers on Instagram – was quickly picked up by news media around the world, including Hamshahri newspaper. But instead of printing the original image, the Tehran publication blatantly edited the photo so that Rodriguez’s curvy butt is nowhere to be seen.

It looks like Hamshahri attempted a rough Photoshop job where the Spaniard’s buttocks appear to be flat from her waist to her lower leg.

Speaking to The Sun, a source said Rodriguez is said to be “very angry” about the digital alteration of the photo taken by the publication last week.

“She works hard for her body and is very proud of her curves,” they said. ‘It just shows that the view of women is distorted in some parts of the world. It’s just a bottom.’

Rodriguez, who has 57 million followers on Instagram, has regularly flaunted her curvaceous figure in the past.

However, following Ronaldo’s move to Saudi Arabian football team Al Nassr, she has taken a more conservative approach to posting on social media, in line with the Muslim country’s stricter dress code.

Like Saudi Arabia, Iran also has strict laws governing what women can and cannot wear, dictated by the regime in Tehran.

Women in the country must wear a veil and loose-fitting clothing that covers everything except their hands and face.

If they do not comply with these rules, women can be jailed for up to ten years.

These draconian laws translate into the way women are portrayed in the media, and it appears that the rules meant that the regime could not tolerate seeing Rodriguez’s curves featured in the major national newspaper.

The manipulation of the photo was noticed by a number of people on social media.

British-Iranian actor Omid Djalili, an outspoken critic of the regime in Tehran, said: “Showing so little respect for women by publicly disfiguring them says so much.”

Belgian MP Darya Safai wrote: ‘This is exactly how sick Islamists view women.’

So far, it appears the Rodriguez has yet to comment on the photo, which was posted on February 6.

Ronaldo captioned the photo: ‘Grateful to spend my 39th birthday in the best way possible: with my family and back on the training pitch.

Ronaldo had another reason to celebrate as he returned to the training ground on his birthday after recovering from a calf injury

‘Thank you all for the warm messages.’

In addition to Rodriguez and Ronaldo Jr, the photo also featured three of Ronaldo’s younger children – two of whom appeared to be looking at birthday cakes sitting on a glass table in the foreground of the photo.

Ronaldo also showed off a large bouquet of flowers he had received.

His birthday came as the superstar marked the occasion with a return to training after recovering from a calf injury.
