Shocking details have emerged about the alleged incident in which Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Julio Urias was arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence while watching Lionel Messi play in California last month.
TMZ Sports According to law enforcement officials, Urias came from behind a woman, put his arm around her and slammed her against a fence while pulling her hair.
The publication also states that the woman had strangulation marks on her neck and that Urias apparently waved at her, although it is not clear whether he made contact.
Urias, 27, was arrested at the scene and posted $50,000 bail.
Before the match started, Urias was listed on a widely circulated star-studded guest list of celebrities who had attended the match to see Lionel Messi in action for Inter Miami. Including Prince Harry, Leonardo DiCaprio and Selena Gomez.

TMZ claims the woman Urias was with became angry because he posed for photos with female fans who recognized him during the Major League Soccer game.
Exposition Park Public Safety said officers arrested Urias around 11 p.m. on Sunday in the park, where the stadium is located. That would have been about an hour after the end of the match, with full time arriving around 10 p.m.
The 27-year-old Mexican-born pitcher was arrested in May 2019 for domestic battery. Urias was suspended 20 games by MLB, but was not prosecuted by the Los Angeles City Attorney on the condition that he complete a 52-week domestic violence counseling program.
Urias has not played for the Dodgers since his arrest in early September. His team said in a statement at the time: “We are aware of an incident involving Julio Urias. While we try to get all the facts, he will not be traveling with the team.”
Urias last played for the Dodgers on September 1, two days before the incident allegedly occurred.
According to reports at the time of his arrest, he would appear in court on September 27 – next Wednesday.
