Doctors share the activities they would NEVER do – including eating potato salad

A nonprofit is going viral after doctors revealed things they would never do now that they are medically trained on TikTok.

Medical experts affiliated with the Academy of Medicine of Cleveland & Northern Ohio (AMCNO) gave their most important advice in a video published on Wednesday.

In the clip, a medical student and a gastroenterologist both admitted that they would no longer eat potato salad.

Additionally, more than one medical expert admitted that they would never cycle, snowboard or skateboard anywhere without a helmet.

“I used to have an electric skateboard that I rode around campus with, and I wouldn’t wear a helmet when I went out with it,” one of the medical students explained.

“So I would always wear a helmet now,” he added.

Another medical student revealed that she would never ride a motorcycle in general.

One interviewee revealed that she would never stay up late to study or smoke, while several experts expressed caution in choosing a better diet.

Another gastroenterologist in the video admitted he would never eat artificially sweetened foods, while a medical student insisted she wouldn’t neglect the amount of fiber in her diet.

Other ‘never do’s mentioned in the video include eating expired food, getting hot lake water up your nose and letting children play football.

The video has been viewed more than 150,000 times and is currently the nonprofit’s second most viewed video on TikTok.

Potato salad is a common dish you see at the dinner table, but it can also cause someone to develop serious health problems.

The salad dish can consist of large amounts of fat, calories and sodium and carries a risk of cholesterol increases or heart disease.

Anyone who eats potato salad regularly or in large portions is also at risk of gaining weight.

Wearing a helmet while cycling or skateboarding can also save a person’s life if he or she is involved in a traffic accident.

“Each year, approximately 2% of motor vehicle deaths are cyclists,” the paper wrote Insurance Institute for Road Safety.

‘Head injuries are the most serious in the majority of cyclist deaths, which underlines the importance of wearing a bicycle helmet.’

Although artificial sweeteners are tasty, they can also put someone at a higher risk of developing cancer, cardiovascular disease or type 2 diabetes.

Conversely, a high-fiber diet can help a person ensure that he or she remains in good health, as it can aid in healthy digestion and lower cholesterol.

As for the medical expert’s aversion to warm lake water, it can be fun to swim in, but it can be dangerous if contaminated with parasites and bacteria and, in some cases, potentially fatal.

Several commentators who watched the AMCNO video were surprised by the comments on the potato salad.

However, they suggested that smaller portions and keeping it cold could solve the potential risks of potato salad.

At least two other TikTokers said they could never give up artificial sweeteners, with one insisting they couldn’t be removed from her “cold, dead fingers.”

Others brought up the warm lake water scenario and how it “occurs annually” during the summer.

“That warm lake water thing shook me to my core. I never thought about how toxic that water source is,” one TikToker wrote.
