Doctors say Scott Disick is ‘malnourished’ and has ‘Ozempic face’ which puts him at risk of dangerous infections – after shocking fans with gray skin and sunken-in face

Doctors have told DailyMail.com that Scott Disick’s shockingly thin appearance has all the hallmarks of Ozempic abuse – as his friends and family have speculated.

The 40-year-old was photographed in Los Angeles last week with sunken cheeks and hollow eyes – key features of ‘Ozempic face’, a side effect that has been reported in a number of users.

Dr. Gary Motykie, a plastic surgeon from California, told DailyMail.com ‘Drugs such as Ozempic generally do not exhibit such aggressive effects.

‘However, if Scott uses semaglutide, it may be in too aggressive a way, which could worsen the problem. The most noticeable change in his appearance is his hollow, dark under-eye area.”

Dr. Jeffrey Spiegel, a plastic surgeon from Massachusetts, agreed, but pointed out that mental health issues, substance abuse and eating disorders can also play a role.

Regardless of the cause, he told this website: ‘The concern lies in the risk of malnutrition, which is never a positive sign.

“Scott’s skin appears gray, a common sign related to substance abuse rather than the effects of semaglutide.”

Mr. Disick has spoken out publicly in the past about his substance abuse, including abusing alcohol and sleeping pills.

However, the Kardashian family fears Ozempic abuse is his current drug of choice.

A Kardashian insider said: ‘Scott started taking Ozempic because he was having serious problems with his weight gain. This time last year he saw himself as fat.

‘He had gained a lot of weight and could not bear to see himself on video footage broadcast in recent months. He would do anything to cover it up.”

The source added: “Scott wanted the easy way out of his father’s body, but now things have clearly gone too far and the family is obviously worried about him.”

While the side effects of the medication are wide-ranging, ranging from depression, vomiting and stomach paralysis, women are increasingly posting on social media about the aging and facial sagging that can accompany dramatic weight loss from taking the drug.

One recent celebrity user who seemed to suffer from the side effect is Sharon Osbourne, who admitted she had to stop taking Ozempic because she lost so much weight and couldn’t afford to lose any more – she dropped to 97 pounds .

With extreme weight loss, it is not uncommon for areas of the face such as the cheeks and under the eyes to deflate due to the fat loss, so much so that a person appears much older than they actually are.

Dr. Spiegel told DailyMail.com that Ozempic could be an explanation for this Mr. Disick’s recent actions.

The doctor said weight-loss medications like Ozempic or Wegovy don’t work overnight and need to be increased slowly over a longer period of time – and if Mr. Disick hasn’t been seen in a few months, that could be the reason.

Dr. Motykie told this website that if the celebrity uses the weight-loss drug, it may be “in an overly aggressive manner.”

Dr. However, Spiegel noted that other things could have drastic consequences weight lossincluding mental health issues, cancer, eating disorders and substance abuse, which the celebrity has struggled with in the past.

Dr. Motykie told this website: ‘In any case, the concern lies in the risk of malnutrition, which is never a positive sign. Scott’s skin appears gray, a common sign related to substance abuse rather than the effects of semaglutide.”

But it can also be a result of abuse of the weight loss drug.

Malnutrition poses a large number of risks, including life-threatening risks. These include reduced organ and muscle function, extreme lethargy, growth retardation, ulcers and an increased risk of diarrhea, measles, malaria and pneumonia.

Whatever the reason, doctors have said they are concerned about him and that “addressing Mr. Disick’s health and lifestyle choices is critical to long-term improvement.”

Popular weight loss medications, such as Ozempic and Wegovy, contain the active ingredient semaglutide, which mimics the action of GLP-1, a hormone naturally made in the body that helps slow the passage of food through the stomach – causing people to feel feeling less hungry – and the stomach changes. the brain’s appetite regulation, so that people feel satisfied despite eating less.

The drugs also suppress a person’s cravings for sugary or fatty foods.

Ozempic was originally approved for the treatment of diabetes, but was prescribed off-label when it was discovered that use of the drug – and others like it – could cause dramatic weight loss in people who were obese.

And they quickly took off among celebrities.

Dr. Spiegel said: ‘(The medication is) intended for people who are unhealthily overweight or obese, but are known to be used more widely and with milder indications in image-obsessed Hollywood.’

Ozempic and similar drugs such as Wegovy and Mounjaro have become so popular that the manufacturers have started a campaign calling on influential people to stop using them for ‘vanity reasons’, which has led to shortages among those who really need them for medical diseases.

Due to the gray area surrounding off-label prescribing of these medications, and the stigma of using them when there is little demand, many celebrities are reluctant to disclose their Ozempic use.

But DailyMail.com recently compiled a list of 16 celebrities who have admitted to using the weight loss aids. They include Oprah Winfrey, Tracy Morgan, Elon Musk, Patti Stanger, Sharon Osbourne and Amy Schumer, who revealed she suffered “unliveable” side effects and became “so sick” she couldn’t play with her son.

People who took the drugs previously revealed to DailyMail.com had similar experiences and told of the life-threatening side effects they suffered, including suicidal thoughts and stomach paralysis.

Although an exact reason for Mr. Disick’s extreme weight loss cannot be confirmed, Dr. Motykie told DailyMail.com that there are ways he can improve his thin appearance: ‘Scott could consider options such as improving his diet or discontinuing semaglutide, if appropriate.

β€œWhether it’s malnutrition, substance abuse or other factors, addressing Scott’s health and lifestyle choices is critical to long-term improvement.

‘It’s worth noting that Scott is only 40 years old, so there is plenty of time for him to make positive changes, get on the right course and embark on a healthier path.’
